  1. Yes, it isn't that obvious in the pictures, but she is really small. Take into account that she was supposed to be 6 months old only now, that she was a twin and all the trauma her little body was subjected to and I guess those are the reasons. She still wears some of her 0-3 month clothes. We are just so grateful that the paediatrician has not detected any deficits. Also, she goes to a kind of daycare with a limited number of babies where they have special play-sessions to stimulate their minds, senses and development in general. She loves her "teacher" and is very excited to see her in the mornings.
  2. Haha, shame! Spare a thought for them. Little Miss has them up all hours of the night for hours on end. They are dog tired and both work. I think things will improve once they can start her on baby food. This will be at 9 months when her corrected age will be 6 months. She currently weighs just 5.7kg - less than our biggest cat!
  3. Karmi is 8 months old today. So friendly and she loves her bath!
  4. When they (2 in black) arrived, even the little boxes oozed class. One can tell that these bells are made to the very highest standards by people passionate about making the best product possible. Need 3 more for the rest of the bikes in our household - ouch!
  5. Hmmmmm.... yes, I see what you mean. I'm not buying a bell without proper close-up pictures and sound-clips unless they get rave reviews from other Hubbers. Also, why have coloured domes if all mounting hardware is plain? You get what you pay for, I guess.
  6. Hi all, I see there are two very similar looking bells being advertised in the classifieds. Almost identical to the point that the original brand might be a tad unhappy. That aside, I own a Spurcycle bell which is sublime - sounds great and is finished like a fine piece of art. Does anyone own both a Spurcycle and a Forza? I would love to know how similar the quality and sound are. Thanks! 2Bliss
  7. Not our little alien any longer, that is for sure! (7 and 1/2 months old now).
  8. Hi everyone! Karmi was baptised today. Doesn't she look pretty?
  9. Apologies, things are always so hectic at the start of the academic year. I'm sorry for having been absent for so long. Karmi is doing great! She goes to daycare now, because mom has to work. Little one got a cold a couple of weeks ago, but managed to fight it off without complications. She is still much smaller than other babies her age (one cannot really tell from the pics, I know) and her doctor is just slightly concerned about the size of her head as it is smaller than expected for a of baby her size/weight. Still, she is a happy little miracle:
  10. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May you all experience joy and good fortune in the year ahead. From Karmi and family.
  11. See soft toy for reference: 2 September (Karmi at 1 and a half months old) and today (5 months old). At last her newborn and 0-3 month clothes are fitting properly
  12. She was very silly yesterday
  13. Today is Karmi's five-month "birthday". She weighs a hair over 4kg, so still a tiny little thing. She is healthy and we are very grateful for that! She is a very bad sleeper though - short naps only. She seems none the worse for this, but I cannot say the same for her parents
  14. Karmi is 4 months old today and attended church for the first time. I don't think she liked the sermon
  15. Congratulations, Robbie, to you and your wife. Awesome! There should be a thread for the next generation of little Hubbers so everyone can post pics of ultrasounds, bellies, and new arrivals.
  16. Karmi at 2 weeks; 1 month and 10 days; 2 months and 10 days; 3 months and 3 weeks. That pacifier is shrinking!
  17. Karmi with mum (then and now pics). Baby now weighs 2.760kg and is quite the handful - she seems to be nocturnal Mum's mother has come to the rescue so all the adults can get a few more hours of sleep per day!
  18. Did they stop the labour? Mom and baby fine?
  19. Guess who is 3 months old today?
  20. Karmi continues to thrive at home
  21. Dunno if this is old news, but came across a thread on an international forum showing that the 2016 Jeffsy can run 2.60 Nobby Nics. Interesting option. http://forums.mtbr.com/26-27-5-29-plus-bikes/nobby-nic-29x2-60-a-1020942-3.html
  22. Thanks, hey! EDIT: @ Yo-yo - According to their site: L for 5'8" - 6'1"
  23. Please convince me not to buy one!
  24. Perhaps a combination of tyre choice, rim width, pressure, rider size and style? Snakeskin sidewalls (NN) with relatively small weight penalty have protected my Chinese plastic over many a sharp rock garden when the wagon wheels had nowhere to go but straight over Hey, if current setup isn't working then this looks like an option. Certainly less expensive than replacing anything else...
