As far as I've heard, the cheaper Shimano wheels aren't great.
I didn't mention, I've got the Vista SL's which are 100g lighter than the standard Vistas... and I paid 2,2k for them in 2006.

They're about 1,7kgs but they're really smooth, plus deep(ish) @ 30mm...
Put it this way, I've got a set of Easton Ascent II's and I never have a problem with using my Vista's instead.
Just a heads up though, you'll have to stock 48mm valve tubes.
Although it's not as though he just got it, he's been riding it for a while.

I don't think so. If I was offered to use a Prototype frame I would too, and I'm sure so would you. He obviously gives good feedback regarding bike setup for the engineers...
He's been riding this bike for at least a few weeks now, since I saw him at the last league ride. I asked him what the story was and he says yes it's a Prototype of the '09 frame... He seemed especially proud of the rear dropouts! Also, think about it - Raleigh are getting the exact response they were hoping for with this bike. Three different threads have mentioned Dave's "special" frame...
