  1. Hubbers, Who use there cadence function on Polar, Garmin, Bryton or Suunto? I just bought the Garmin Edge and got the speed/cadence sensor with. This senor is bulky and was wondering who use the cadence information and why? Will I benefit from having it? Don't need to install the speed sensor since the gps give your speed anyway.

  10. I feel the same as you regarding the places where they do events in Pta/Jhb area. Why pay R100 - R200 when you can go run/ride there for a fraction of the price. Will also be doing the Retto this year. Will start the training after the Sani.
  11. How's the Q42/28 working in the front. Don't you have problems with shifting from small to big blade?
  12. How about riding with a camelback? When you look at the menu's at the check point it seems like there will be more than enough to drink and eat. See according to SA weather app the temp for Friday night will be around 20 degrees.. Seems like nice hot weather.
  13. Hi there, I need advice. What can I do to prevent bum sores in multi stage events when riding a hard tail. Just spoke to a mate who finished the epic on Hard tail and he is in pain and got no skin left on his bum. I will be doing the Joberg2c and do not want to end up like him.
  14. Thanks guys. Chain came off because of all the mud. All I have to do now is source an inner cage for my derailleur.
  15. Hi there, I need some advise regarding derailleur wheels. I bought my bike with KCNC wheels which I like. At the Dullstroom event the chain came off the bottom wheel and damaged my inner cage. The mechanic that serviced my bike tells me that the KCNC wheels are rubbish and he suggest I put the normal SRAM wheels when I replace the inner cage. What do you guys think. Cheers
  16. Are you sure about that. I had huge issues with services there. Will never go back there again.

  21. Hi there hubbers, I wil be doing my first Transbaviaans this year and need some advice what "food" to take for this event. Other than the normal you take with you on a ride what will be the best to have the support group carry with them during the race. After some time I really dont want anything sweet especially on a long ride. Any advise would be appreciated.
