Wow first time I am seeing this course. Simply amazing IMHO. Way better than any WC course. Never in a World Cup have I thought "ooh I'd like to ride this course". But this one I want to ride all day...

Well I thought that because it is (or used to be?) an access road to a restaurant, I am allowed to drive on that road with my car, just like I am allowed to drive on access roads on private land to many other restaurants. So seeing that I am allowed by car, why not my bike? Am I banned from riding my bike on other restaurants' access roads? Having said that, I will respect the rules and not ride there again. At least I observe the riding times...
Hmm ok I rode the cement road a few times recently. Was under the impression it was a public road leading to the restaurant. Will refrain from doing so in future.
Did the new Klipheuwel trail past Saturday. Really nice and scenic. Saw many other riders. But had a very disconcerting experience. See attached pic. We were following the red line and was about at the red circle. Someone was shooting from the building in the direction of the blue arrow. Sounded like a high-ish caliber gun. With one of the shots I heard the ricochet come past us. Actually pretty ******* dangerous.
Just as a matter of interest, is there a place to report non-MTB things that we encounter on the trails? E.g. I often come across leaking pipes etc. I do my best to report them to a farm hand, but often not sure if the message gets to the right person. Just as a courtesy to the landowners.

I have been seeing skid marks at the top of the little forest section just below Cow Pat Alley at Hillcrest. Seems that some ppl are coming down there. As far as I know this is one-way up?
OK so ran into this boy out at Hillcrest yesterday afternoon. Almost rode over him. Stopped just in time and backed away veeeery quickly. Strange this is that it was overcast and fairly chilly up there so they are not only out when it's hot.
