They did not ask if i wanted one, i stood in the shop and adjusted the fitting myself while they stood and watched including fitting the pedals, they did however loan me their tools to do it. Most bike shops also advise that the first service is free (minor service), this was also not offered but no biggie as i do minor services myself.

My LBS has a large Ryder velcro strap bike bag for R85, not a huge decision or financial commitment to make.

Thread still going so i'll add another 2c, when it comes to saddle bag type i prefer the non clip fit, i have one permanent (small) on my road bike and another (larger) for my MTB's and just switch the tube whether i'm riding 29 or 26.
