I use my MTB for 80% of my rides which are gravel/tar and log this as road. I consider MTB to be off road riding stuff like jeep and single track.

Crime happens all over and its brutal all over, The poor guy was over powered and shot with his own pistol, i cant say whether they would have still killed him if he was not armed but that's speculation. reports are that they were not the first to be robbed, just prior to this there was another attack by the same men and the victims were black. My case where i was hijacked they kept asking where was my gun and i am certain if i had one they would have used it against me, as it was they stabbed me a few times before i was able to get the knife away and throw it in the thick bushes.

Eish, this thread is going to be locked Condolences to the cyclists family, i was angry and upset after my hijack encounter but thankfully to have come out alive. Hope they catch the thugs that killed him and lock them away for the remainder of their miserable lives.

Solomons have Serfas Saddleback MTB shoes for R399, otherwise Olympic are also quite cheap, some guys have mentioned poor quality but mine i've had for 2 years and they are still in good nick. Cycle shorts or bibs try Anatomic shop in Nortcliff, they have good variety and very reasonable priced Sportmans Warehouse in Fourways have opened a large cycle section, have not been there yet so cant comment on range or prices.

Great, heard some riders chatting about it over the weekend Flat and fast it will be.

She gives lunch time spinning classes class at VA Wed and sometimes other days as well and if she's not giving class she's spinning on her own.. To give you an idea how tough she is, Wed after the Epic she was back giving class. I doubt she will go full time pro though.

Very strong MTB, besides the Epic some other achievements are 1st women and 2nd overall in Magilies monster (5 sec behind the winner) and Mabalingwe womens champ, Theresa and her partner Karien van Jaarsveld were also leading iin Sani2C and very likely would have won but lost over an hour due to technical problems.

Way to go Lions Lost it a bit in the 2nd half but got the win.

I think it will be difficult for the employer to take action, he has not been charged or convicted of anything merely accused. The person who's bike it is should follow up on the original theft report, if there was one. If not then its even more difficult to do anything.
