DRC are much more reliable than cr@ppy Alex. The DRC aluminum rims are quite heavy but built with a decent hub they are bullet proof.

I agree with cptmayem, of the 2 you listed the KTM is better option. As for backup and customer service, i have found Silverback in SA are very good, don't know what KTM are like.

My MTB shoes cost R550 (Olympic), helmet R450 (Giro), was given the pedals. Specs i bought a pair that darkens/lightens depending on the light from MrsCycling fan for under R400 which i use for most of my MTB rides.
