  1. Caveat... if the buyer makes a cheque deposit, the funds could clear and everything may feel above board, leaving the seller with a false sense of security as the cheque can still be revoked. I'd stick with BikeHub Pay
  2. Yep thats why it's important to know the serial number of your bike. I take photos of the serial for every bike I sell. Many cyclicts don't know theirs and without it there's not much recourse in a case of theft.
  3. Hi I got the number of a guy in the cape who is selling your bike (he sent me a photo of the serial number which matched up). I'll call you now
  4. @Thoneshan you most likely know this but look for 1/2 sizes so for example you're size 10 then look for 10,5. If you still need wider then Specialized used to (& probably still do) have a size ,75 wide eg 10,75 but it may be a bit expensive. Good luck I hope you succeed
  5. This is a great race, I did it last in 2011 and it's backed by a strong community. If there are gift packs this year and they're anything like before then you're in for an awesome surprise
  6. Wow that must have been a very scary experience, especially down the Umko valley! Glad she's okay & hope it didn't scare her from a great sport. Would love to hear what the diagnostic outcome is with this bike.
  7. If anyone lost a set of Subaru car keys in Greenside this morning please contact me on 0828288442. Chad
  8. Morning Hubbers, Don't want to use my smartphone for Strava anymore. I'm looking for a cheap alternative GPS tracking device that integrates with Strava (even upload by USB cable), something that I can mount onto my bike somewhere with a start/stop button. Any advice or suggestions?
  9. Lost a black VW key on the Spruit between Trailhead/Fratelli (Conrad Dr) & Emmerentia dam wall. Pls PM me thks
  10. Thanks everyone for your contributions, that was a big response in 12 hours. I forgot to mention that this is for my road bike and according to my riding style of leaning toward grinding over spinning then I think I'll try a 177.5 which is not too much of a drastic change from my 175mm. Thanks again
  11. I know the topic of crank size has been discussed in length and I get the theory behind it, however I'm looking for RESPONSES ONLY FROM CYCLISTS WHO HAVE ACTUALLY USED CRANKS LONGER THAN 175mm. My inside leg measurement is 93cm and according to some charts I should be using a crank 180-185mm. Has anyone moved to a 177.5 or 180mm crankset and what feedback can you offer me?
  12. I've had a look at previous discussions on crank length but didn't see anything relative to my enquiry. I'm looking for feedback on someone with long legs using a 177.5 or 180mm crank
  13. My inside leg measurement is 93cm and according to this chart I should be using a 180mm crank. Has anyone moved to a 177.5 or 180mm crankset and what feedback can you offer me? http://www.setthebike.com/frame_and_crank_R.html
