Hi All. Firstly, congrats to all those who finished. This year marks the second year of me missing out on this great event (due to fractures) which I so seriously wanted to compete in.. I just visited the web page to enter next year's event, but it shows entries not open yet.. Was I too late for the early entries, or was the early entries just for the 2017 entrants?

Goodday all. I have a single entry for the great trek if anyone is interested. I won't be able to compete myself, due to a broken elbow from the hill2hill race. I don't want the entry go for waste, so please if anyone is interested, let me know. Thanks.

Wow! What an experience!! The Sabie really lived up to its name.. It was the most difficult and also the best event I participated in so far.. I even had my first OTB experience (I know, not something to brag about..). Everything was just great - the organization, the huge goodie bag, the water tables and the single trails, not to forget the amazing views.. It definitely is an event to do again and again..

At the moment I'm between two biggies - Joburg2c and the 360ne.. Please hubbers, which one do you suggest I do next year?

I see no mention is made of the Sabie Experience. Is there anyone on the Hub doing the Sabie?

Wow, what an event! I did the 48k and I'm totalled. This was the hardest 48k I have ever done, but it was great! The wife complained that there was nothing for them (three kids included) to do, not even a jumping casle for the 7 year old. Well, I've done what I came here to do.. Thanks to the person who borrowed me a bolt to tighten the one clip on my shoe..

I have heard a lot about this Baberton race, it sounds like a real killer.. I'm in for the 48k. According to the profiles, the only real difference between the 48 and the other more serious routes is the distance.. Any comments? I'm not that fit yet, but am a little worried about Saturday's race especially after I noticed thete is a cutt-off time as well..

Thanks Velouria. I think I'll rather skip this year. I did a 90k 3weeks ago and I was totalled after that. I also still feel a high amount of discomfort on my knee at times (maybe I should visit the fisio again..). I also started a new jop in Pta, so training is a bit slow. Thanks for ur reply, I really appreciate it.

Christmas was good, got an edge 810. But I was surprised to see that it is made in China.. How long does this garmin units last? In my experience - "made in China, store in cool place.."

Are there any traing groups in Pta? We are moving to Pta in January.

I had a broken knee, only started training again (4months out of action). Do u guys think I will still be able to get fit in time for this event?
