I agree with Johan. The same happend to my road bike. A stone crushed a R5 coin sized piece of my bikes down tube. Its still the same size a year later.

Go ride some mtb with your road peddles(sic) and your road groupset... You'll soon see why you get mtb specific components.

I surely hope Tiger got an apology from DCM aswell. Having to wait that long for money owed to you is not right.

Rolling a clicher tyre off a rim?! Thats bull. The response from mavic is even a bigger load of bull. If the tyre came off in a corner you would slide and fall on youre side...not go over the handlebars and ending up on youre head. Even if their fairytale contains any truth, no wheel should disintigrate when a tyre comes off or in the event of a crash. I rolled a tubby before in a crit but I stayed upright because the rim still supported me and the bike.

If DCM gave any hooha about their reputation they would have sorted this issues as soon as it became public. To me it doesnt look very complicated. I had an old mtb welded that cracked right trough on the chainstays. The guy from the weld shop welded both sides to reinforce it. He the smoothed the welding with steel putty and I resprayed it. Looks as good as new and its been lasting for a while now.

Comparing the new raleigh prices to the prices of competing brands it seems the raleighs are only on par now. Previously they were way overpriced.

All in all this old kit deal cost me R1500. Not much, but seeing that some of the stuff didnt belong to me I think its a issue.

I'm not going to contact him. We conversed via pm a few times. Agreed upon sale/price/postage. I even sent him another parcel wich he asked for. This simply got left at the PO, he didnt even make the effort to go pick it up. After a month he told me the sale is off, I simply asked him to return the stuff, but he just ignored me.
