  1. Ok so lets hope DSTV doesn't screw us around with some speed chess or some thing like that. SS8 10am they showing DH live. Beer biltong here we come.
  2. Follow Mountainbikers do it Downhill on Facebook. But at the moment there is no DH Racing in Jozi. Should be a ride day at Thaba next Month. The F/B will keep you updated.
  3. I see the best top speed so far 69km/h. Average speed for every one is in the 67km/h
  4. They showing from 20:10 on Saturday on SS2. Its going to be a cracker. Biltong and Beer yes please.
  5. One very sweet ride.
  6. We can go on and on. The shop has realised there is a problem and is willing to fix the problem. Newbie shouldn't have installed the crank. I would have spoken to a senior person to resolve problem. Staff hide stuff from management so they don't get into the **** we all now that I have staff of my own. I am sure if you contacted Ricky personally after that last mail which is two weeks ago this would have been resolved. If you in box me I will gladly give you Rickys cell number or personal email address.
  7. Yes I do have info on this story unfortunately I can't put the hard evidence copies on this forum. The cranks where marked new as you state. This is where the first email suggest where they could have made the mistake and hence them wanting to get the cranks back so they can check and possibly reimburse him. Unfortunately they cant replace as its stock which could be a year old and they might not have the stock. As for the address surly one can check that the address is correct. But if the guy doesn't reply back what do you do send a courier company and then there is nothing to pick up.
  8. So I have read all the flaming about this. Perhaps some of you keyboard pushers must first get the whole story before you make claims about people and stores. So here it goes. I think its time Bertus and his friend tell the whole story and not half the story. You mention this email in your post but your forget to mention that this was the second email (1st 07/09 2nd 07/11) you received and on both occasions your friend was ask for his address so that they can collect the crank and reimburse if the cranks are as per pic they also explain perhaps what happened. Till today they still haven't received the address. All they getting is I want my R500. So perhaps Bertus you should get your friend to contact the store and let them collect the cranks and reimburse him and apologies for putting this on a Forum which nine out of ten times goes all pear shaped.
  9. There is always two sides to the story. I wonder who in there right mind will just pay the guy back R500-00 based on some pics. If I was a shop I would want to see the goods and then make a call from there. Then another question I have is why did he fit the crank if he wasn't happy when he opened the box. Surly you settle the matter before going ahead.
  10. For those who haven't seen this. http://www.redbull.com/en/bike/stories/1331666970182/specialized-s-works-demo-dh-2015-uci-world-cup-gwin
  11. Gee thanks Nige so my Demo is a Tank hey
  12. Only the Sworks will look like this. The current Demo will be for the lower spec and they will be in 650B wheel size. Talks that the S Works will be some where in the R130K mark. So I don't think one will come to our shores.
  13. 18th Practice 10h00 till 16h00, 19th Practice 10h00 till 16h00, 20th 8h00 till 9h30 then racing starts at 10h00 till 14h00. Remember to use the entrance on Impala Drive just after the Fire station.
  14. Hi Sam not a Maintenance reply just a pointer on the top rock garden. I will break this down in 3 sections to help understand better. Section1: Top of the rocks before the valley drop in. They will do some cleaning up so your entry is easier as you come down and turn right towards the valley drop in. There will be 2 lines probably. Section 2 Valley drop in you have one line as you hit the bottom of the drop there is a very big rock on your right and a Small rock which has been place no top of the bolder if you want to call it that. B Line you hug the Big Rock and go into the small valley towards the Metal poles. There they will be adding in soil and sand bags to make a berm with a catch fence hence the Poles. Section 3 down the drop in valley go past the small rock on the right and turn a bit left as you look at the rock face drop off there is a tree aim for the tree and the 2 other ledges further down sit back and roll down. Enjoy the ride.
  15. Morning Guys. I have been told that you need to register at Thaba first and then take a drive to the gate at the back. The gate is a few 100m after the fire station. it will be open from 9am. Once I have a idea what it will cost I will post. Chow.
