Condolences to the families of 2 Swedish football supporters who were gunned down in the streets ahead of the game Bel vs Swe tonight. What a shame on more levels than just football

Better luck next time Mate 🫰🏽 Had a good return on last week's Euro Quali matches.. about time! I've ZAR10 on each of these two... (can't decide between Greece v Netherlands) in tonight's Euro Quali matches... Aust, Belg, Port, Neth/Gree, Slov Odds are 30:1 & 15:1.... So here goes 🫰🏽

There's absolutely no ways that none of you guys have anything to say about this weekend's RWC Quaterfinal matches.... Well I scored 60 bucks on the best, but I also lost 40... Predicted an Eng v SA semi and that's what saved my bacon, lol But the matches were absolutely insane!!! Top notch, unlike quarterfinals in our beautiful game that tend to be cagey, defensive, "tactical" and downright boring.

Now we will have Liverpool Supporters complaining for another week. Maybe Klopp will even call for a replay.

Gotta be kicking yourself now Mate... With this result, had Liverpool won I would've been in on a 40:1 bet having called the other matches.... Trust Arsenal!!! Hahahaaaaa

Damn Liverpool....!! At least WHM vs NEW returned enough to all my bets today. Of course the main match is now moot because BHA vs LIV didn't produce a winner

Good day on the bets today. Picked up 15:1 across 5 matches ManU had me crapping my pants, lol... I felt that was my biggest risk, but hey, they came through. A pity I chose not to add Cheatski

Luton Town vs Tottenham Hotspur Let's see if Spuds can occupy the top of the table for a few hours at least. Unless Arsenal vs Shitty ends in a draw then the top stop can be had for the next 2 weeks... 🫰🏽

Spurs are going to win the EPL this season, by 2 points! The same 2 points that Liverpool are crying over, because they would've gladly taken a point from this game. 😆 🤣 😂

I unfortunately do not see this incident as any different... these occurrences have come up since time immemorial and will continue. The reason the game could not be stopped is because there are no rules under which they could stop them. Irrespective of how many seconds after the game was restarted. Once the free kick was taken the previous phase of play could not be reverted to. So in that case they did the right thing, which was nothing. I do agree however, that the decision making of the VAR and referee were poorly communicated... but these things can happen in high pressure situations. It's the processes that are the flaw here. Have a look at the suggest by PGMOL to mitigate future occurrences. They are looking at improving language and communication to improve decision-making. Good job on them. But they still can't go back on the result. Liverpool doing something about it is still to satisfy their own ends! They could've done this when Wolves were the aggrieved party and Liverpool the benefactor, but it wasn't in their best interest. I have a problem with officials being stood down from matches in instances like this. Firstly, it is demoralising, discriminatory and poorly managed. Referees should only be encouraged and up-skilled to help them cope better. Removing Refs from officiating certain matches or teams only adds to the suppression and propogates the opportunity to damn Refs. Everyone forgets that good Refs are in short supply - so where do the replacements come from? Lower leagues and with minimal experience - so how are these replacements expected to be on top of their game? Lose-Lose situation at best. I think PGMOL should be focusing on improve standard of Refs rather than spending their time pandering to the whims of individually aggreaved clubs. Their jobs are to implement the law, not be lectured on the rights or wrongs of the law. Howard Webb has his work cut out. He needs to stop playing 'Good Cop' Anyway, I dislike Jurgen Klopp even more! 🤣

Sorry for assuming you to be a Liverpool supporter. It seems to me you are very bullish on Liverpool’s title hopes this season - good on you. Let's see... The reason I bring these other indiscretions into the conversation is to add perspective. Errors by officials in professional sport has been and will control be part of the sporting contests. Ask Lewis Hamilton and Phillipe Massa... Not to mention Liverpool themselves. For football fans calling match officials 'incompetent' in the light of 1 mistake is just inexcusable. It's not fair. Even Jurgen Klopp didn't go that far.

Firstly, welcome to the discussion. Let's begin by me calling you response very subjective, which is clear. I've never hated on Liverpool. In fact my Dad was a Liverpool supporter and many of my family and friends still are. It's true though, that I dislike Jurgen Klopp! He is a MOANER! Last year Klopp said the Ryan Mason should moan, because he has bigger things to worry about.... Hahaaaaaa Go back to the Wolves game in January of this year, when the same Jurgen Klopp and his team won the FA Cup 3rd round first leg at Anfield, by a Wolves goal which was clearly ruled offside when it shouldn't have. Jurgen Klopp admitted the goal should have been allowed, but didn't 'ask' for a replay then - why is that? Surely he had the same opportunity back then... Secondly, Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp are not doing the sport a favour by calling out anybody. They are doing what they are doing for their own inexcusable needs. They do not speak for the good of the game - they want to re-write the rules when it suits them! On the point of 'losing the title by 2 points...' Let me take you back to last year's match Liv v Tot in which Jota didnt get the red card, which lost Spurs 2 points... It turned out to have been a very valuable 2 points at the end of the season when Spurs fell a point short of a European Qualifying position. Did you lot stand up and shout 'injustice' from the rooftops?? Yeah right... of course you didn't. So now we are expected to believe that Liverpool wants to 'fix' football... Hhhhhmmmm And if Jurgen Klopp's 'asking for a replay' is your way of asking that his approach is non-aggressive, then so be it - I choose to disagree. Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool fans have shown themselves to be Cry-Babies! Let's see how the court case goes... For now, we have the 3 points - good luck getting them off us.

Not a single professional sporting event has ever been replayd due to an incorrect decision by match officials, so they have their work cut out for them. Last year Jota kicked Skippy in the head and didn't get a red card. He went on and scored their winning goal. 2 days later the indiscretion was forgotten. Reason: Its pointless arguing! Liverpool need to build a bridge... Of course VAR rules need to be improved! We've all agreed, but Premier League made the decision to implement VAR without Semi-automared offside. All because they thought they are 'The Best League In The World'. Well, so much for that. I wonder if Liverpool may have been one of those clubs who voted against... Semi-automated offside has proven successful in its implementation in UCL - ask ManU

I don't even think for a minute that we should be entertaining what could/would have happened.... Otherwise we start to consider the possibility that Liverpool could/would have had a 3rd player sent off... not inconceivable at all - it's TOTTENHAM v LIVERPOOL after all Liverpool lost the match. The End.

I wonder of Jurgen Klopp expects the REPLAY to be stopped in the 26th minute so that the referee can deliver a red card to Curtis Jones even if he is nowhere near the ball....
  22. RoddieJ

    Football

Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are delusional if they believe that the Premier League will grant them a REPLAY after PGMOL have called the incident in Saturday's match "a serious human error"! Especially since he states that "something like this has never happened before" It cannot be substantiated that it was a "defining moment that changed the game." His charges went on to give up 2 red cards in the same match! Does he honestly think anybody will believe those 2 red would not have happened if they were awarded the goal?? He is delusional... But let's wait and see...

Sets a precedent for all future disputes! I don't see how Howard Webb decided to bow to this pressure. Let's see how he handles the same thing next time. Secondly, mistakes are part of the game and will continue for as long as there is competition.

It's as if Liverpool were innocent bystanders... And team that gets 2 red cards in a match can't blame the opponents. Unfortunately for them, VAR robbed them of the Diaz goal, but that's football... just like the 2019 Champions League Final, where they benefitted

Relentless pressure by Spurs resulted in the ultimate error by Liverpool. The same relentless pressure could also have given them chances to counter and score - onside or not!
