Hi Guys My friend and I are planing to give this event a try. I just got a question how this it work in terms of you start at Appin Adventure Resort and finish at the Border Post. Is there shuttle's to take one back to the resort after the race or would you suggest to have a support vehicle ? This will be my first event of this type and not sure how this works. The worst part for me is when riders don't care about safety and will push you off the single track just to get past just to finish 2-3 minutes ahead of you. Well done dude.. The chances are that if you permanently get stuck in single tracks then your not working hard enough to get a better seeding. I started this year and most probably held up a few guys due to fitness level but always moved over once it was safe for me. Now I am going strong and enjoying the ride as I am in the correct seeding group.

Hi Guys This will be my first crater cruise event, From previous year experience what is the 80km like? How technical is the route ? This will also be my first marathon race. Only done half marathons since I started this year.

Hi guys. So I paid R365 for everything. Seems the front derailleur was bent. Got that fixed as well as tyre sealant for the one tyre. Also got a service and again it was a very pleasant experience at the shop. I will most certainly go to the same place for any repairs or services.

Dropped the bike off today. It is a silverback sola 4. The price quoted was +- 380 to check the issue with the gear selector and to replace the sealant in the tire if necessary. If there is something broken the costs can add up.

Hi Guys Just a general question regarding the repairs and the services. Took my bike in for a repair although I believe it will only requiring some adjustments. I am still a noob to mtb. One of my cyclist collegeaus was actually shocked about the quoted price. Regards

Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the MTB race on the 8th. Just in general how many people cycle the normal 947 race with their mountain bike? Thinking about entering the race on the 15th as I will not be able to attend the mtb race.

Nope dont have any rubber tubes installed.

Hi All I bought a roof rack a couple of months ago for my polo vivo gt. Not sure why but when it is raining or I wash the car it leaks into the left side of the car. I fitted the roof rack myself. Tried to adjust the settings but no luck. Any suggestion where I can get assistance ? Regards Werner
