  1. As far as I know, they are..
  2. Well i suppose if you calves start hitting on the top tube of your bike, then you know you have a problem. I have the opposite, I'm a reasonably good rider and have been riding for 4 years now, two years competing in nations and they still look like sticks! my quads are a different story. how can I get them a bit bigger?
  3. I'm also thinking of doing the oakly route... I know its expensive but as you've now heard, its apparantly worth it. How much does it cost for Laser treatment? I'm a compeditive Junior MTBer age 18 and desperate for some vision... hehe
  4. So i'm guessing that the sintered pads last longer... But I heard they can make quite a noise... it that true?
  5. also what would you recommend???
  6. Hi There What is the difference between Ceramic disc brake pads Sintered pads Organic pads Metallic pads I want to know the difference in preformance and durability?
  7. I'm also looking for the results..
  8. Cleaning your chain in petrol is one of the worst things you can do to a chain. It takes out the lube in places where you can’t relube it unless you take every link to pieces... A chain just needs to be cleaned with a dry cloth as it usually take most of the excess grease off. Also when you lube the chain, you should actually wipe it afterwards to get the excess lube off.
  9. Any scott frames come in yet?
  10. During the week of the race take it nice and easy. Do some 2hour LSD pace rides but make sure you have 2 rest days before the event. I took today off, riding tuesday and wednsday and then taking thursday off (The day to service you bike if nessesary). Then friday I will do a 1 hour ride with 3 short sprints (10 Sec each) Race day, you really must take a dump like Cassie said and do a good warm up 30-45min before the start doing some sprints or what ever you do so that you don't getting that blood tast (your body crying for oxygen) in your mouth when you sprint off in the start. Then, Drink! Drink ! Drink! so that you dont bonk and cramp...
  11. Hi My frame has got a crack in it and I need to find out the price of a new one for insurance purposes. Please could someone help me find out how much a new one costs.

  15. This is my friends MTB frame. Its been cracked there before so they fixed it up but now it has cracked open again but its worse. Would we be able to fix it to last like two months until he can buy a new frame? The crack is on the top tube...
  16. If you cant ride off road, then ride road races!!! You cant spoil the fun of other riders just because you dont know how to ride a mountain bike.

  20. A delivery service is also a nice option to have.
  21. I would take the GT frame with the the silverback comps. The sivlerback frames have crap designed geometry.
  22. what about cross country? Think a ust or protection tire would be better. Are you doing sabie? What would you suggest for that race as i've never ridin there before. I got two rocket rons. would that do the job? Looks like its gonna be a muddy weekend..
  23. I am going tubless with the stans rim tape and valve but can't you still get pitch flats through the tire like a cut or something. When ever you see pro's having puntures, its mostly because they are riding with light tires. I dont think i want to take the chance. Does stans rims enable you to ride lighter tires? I weigh 65kg
