  1. I found an article to link Wahoo with Apple Health or Google Fit. I'm on Apple Health but it seems to only sync step data to Vitality. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- https://www.discovery.co.za/vitality/help-fitness-devices How do I link my Wahoo app to Vitality? To link Wahoo and Vitality, you will first need to download the Wahoo app that is compatible with your device, either: Wahoo Fitness Wahoo ELEMNT Once you have downloaded the correct app, make sure that you sign up for a Wahoo Cloud account. Then follow these steps to link your Wahoo app to Vitality: Step 1: Ensure that you have the correct Wahoo app installed on your phone. Step 2: Also, please ensure that you have the following installed for these respective operating systems: iOS - the Health App Android - the Google Fit app. Ensure the Health App or Google Fit app is linked to Vitality. Step 3: Link your Wahoo app to the Health app or Google Fit app. Step 4: Give Vitality permission to read your fitness data. Important to note Remember, you must first sign up for a Wahoo Cloud account through the Wahoo app or Wahoo ELEMNT app for automatic syncing and sharing to occur across Apple Health or Google Fit. Without Wahoo Cloud account the apps will not work properly. If you have already linked your Google Fit account to Vitality for other purposes, you will need to delink it from Vitality. Once your Google Fit account has been linked to Wahoo, relink it to Vitality. If you link or delink your Wahoo device from Apple Health or Google Fit; Vitality will not receive this information. To ensure that you have linked your device, check that: For iOS, your Wahoo device is linked to Apple Health and that Apple Health is linked to Vitality. For Android, your Wahoo device is linked to Google Fit. Once you have followed these steps, you will be able to earn Vitality Fitness points using your Wahoo Fitness device. If you need more information, please use the links below for the: Wahoo Fitness app Wahoo ELEMNT app For additional support, please visit Wahoo support
  2. Does anyone know if it's possible to now use Wahoo Elemnt Bolt with Vitality? (Automatically and not the manual way with fitfiletools)
  3. Does anyone have the latest elevation profile? Route seems to have changed slightly.
  4. After a night of drinking, I generally just relax the next day and then try get an early night. 8 to 10 hours in bed. But there is definitely a pattern, day two after binge drinking, there is a high recovery state. Day 3, everything goes back to average.
  5. I've had a Whoop band for about three months now. I'm a fairly fit guy, cycling / mountain biking at least 4 days a week. I do also like the occasional binge drinking session with some buddies. I have noticed a pattern with this on my HRV. Saturday night binge, HRV plummets on Sunday morning reading - expected. But then Monday morning, my HRV is elevated more than normal and indicating I am well recovered even more then when I do not drink for several days in a row. Even though I still get slight brain fog on Monday?? (two day hang). Has anyone else experienced this? I would expect to have low HRV for 2 or 3 days consecutively after a big night.
  6. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Top class event!
  7. Has anyone previously done this event or the trails in Tulbagh that can review?
  8. It has happened to me too from time to time.
  9. Want to join Vitality but have a Wahoo Element which still seems to be unsupport. Have there been any further updates on this topic? Any word from Discovery anyone?
  10. Meezo, have you tried the rimpact option yet?
  11. Do you need to be a PPA member to be seeded for this event?
  12. Agreed, but you can avoid this by seeding yourself more towards the front if you're a stronger rider. next time
  13. I see rain foretasted for Friday. Lets hope it doesnt shift over to Saturday
  14. I really didn't enjoy this one. There was no proper rain days prior to the event but they seem to have taken us through every muddy patch out there! I also followed a group that took a wrong turn. I've had better times..
  15. I've ridden there a few times! Its a nice loop. Would also like to know about the permits
  16. How accurate is this description on the PPA website? '45 km Tough gradients with single track recommended for experienced cyclists only' What is the total ascent and how much single track?
  17. Anyone still keen on starting a Pinelands group? I'm on the mountain bike. I'd like to do a ride up to the blockhouse after work during weekdays. fitness levels are decent / above average. Send me a private message and I will get a group started.
  18. Thanks everyone for the recommendations! We have been doing the ride from Peddlers to the coffee trucks by La Parada most Saturdays. We have done this about 4 times now and decided to do something different. We ended up starting at Newlands Forest and did a loop very much on par with DJR's instructions... It wasn't easy for most of them but with enough breaks they still enjoyed it and found that the first big climb up Newlands is well worth the ride through Kirstenbosch. Thanks again everyone!
  19. Hey guys! I am wanting to take a group of beginner riders on this route tomorrow morning. Starting from Newlands. What is the easiest way to get back to Newlands once we have reached LaParada? Even if it means taking some type of transport back
  20. Was just a thought hey You're probably right though..
  21. I rate specialized says to Burry, win it on a 26er, you get normal pay, win it on a 29er, you get a bonus! I also heard a rumour that he is testing out a prototype 27.5er during his training.. I think this will be the new 29er this time next year.
  22. Have a look at these devices, I think the perfect device for Traithlons. I've got one myself! www.mobii.com
  23. Screen seems to be fine for me. It show all the regular stuff like garmin/polar but it has the feature called action triggers. what this is, is basically you can set something to trigger and action. say for instance you know the gps coordinate of a dangerous technical area, you can set the trigger be the GPS coord and when you reach it, you can get it to do an action like display a picture or make a sound or play a recording warning you of the technical area. It also has a g-force censor so it can measure your tilt, accerleration, deceleration and strides. Also with the software it comes with, you can sync a helmet cam to your activities so when you want to see your video, you will get real time data overlay showing data like HR speed distance ect. Go have a look on the website. they are proudly South African are super clever guys. http://www.mobii.com/
  24. Yes it can play mp3s but its actually a GPS for sports. Brand new
