  1. The difference between "BRAND NEW" and "AS NEW" is clear.

  8. Characteristic of those (eastern) frames
  9. So are you going to keep this? Sure looks like a LOT of HARD WORK
  10. Progress regarding the Cinelli: The "before" photos were on page 63. Meanwhile she's been heavily polished and the lugs have been revealed. 'Original' Decals have been ordered from OZ
  11. OK the last post was not retro I know. This is a more retro "wish list" pic
  12. "wish list" pic allowed?? pURE pORN Just wonder what those two things are under the top tube.
  13. Apparently Chesini did pantograph their deltas
  14. For this application I used 'paintstripper'. In gel form. Post clean with acetone. Caution use only on aluminium rims. NOT on carbon. The search for the right tyres continues, and may for a long time. If I find them, I may not want to cement them after I've gone to such lengths to clean these rims. (lol)
  15. So, I've been making progress.... (a before and after shot)
  16. Thank you Delgado, Will be polishing those wheels like crazy later. Airlites laced to Fiamme Tubulars...where will I ever find tyres that are appropriate for such classics. On another note: I'm busy stripping my "masi" and have realized that its a "ciocc". You can see the brazing that filled up the old letters and then it was engraved again. Who would go to such great lengths? Is this possible post construction or was this done after? Dammit, what decals do I put on now? MASOCC?? or CIASI?? I actually cant put any decals on with this engraving. Have discovered a great fraud that will send ripples through the classic cycling culture??(hahaha or Maybe!)
  17. My birthday present from my beautiful wife. Woke up to find this today. She had intervened my chase for this. When I say "eat your heart out"...I'm talking about the best woman ever!

  22. Dear Mark, May I suggest that you heavily wrap and box a dispensible rust experiment R300 special off junkmail. Over there you chuck it and return with the new bike. Point is you'll be tagged as leaving with a bike and returning with one. Thats all they know. No hectic interrogation about makes and values. I didn't get charged anything, but my total weight suitcase plus cartoned bike was in limits. Had a ticket to declare that I ledt the country with a bike for declaration purposes
  23. Dont think so. Yellowjersey says "sold out, probably forever" HeartCoppi2010-03-05 16:57:53
