  1. Well done David, that was an epic journey that you undertook. Was great chatting to you before you departed. @Admin, maybe you should reclassify @F.R.A.I.L. -K to Legend as his hub member title?
  2. We had a close encounter on Sunday morning in Conties, small grass snake I think, I'm no expert but have a healthy respect to stay well clear!
  3. What size would be best to clean a cassette etc?
  4. Hi guys, please be on the look out for my son's giant boulder, stolen out of my garage today sometime between late morning and lunch time? It's and extra small frame, black and silver with new kenda tyres. Stolen from Plattekloof glen, cape town
  5. Broke my left one about 1 and half years ago. I decided on the non-surgical option and let my body heal itself. First 3 weeks was uncomftable with the sling. Make sure you do the rehab exercises, I didn't initially and my elbow "locked" after 3 days, that was more painfull than the fall, and I fell 2 and a half meters onto my shoulder, head first with the bike then also hitting me. After 6 weeks I could ride easy, after 8 I was back on the trails. Doc said I healed very well and it was a good call not to opt for the surgical route.
  6. Think this Tuesday there is also a night ride at Hoogekraal?
  7. I had the privilege to call Adre a friend, he was a true gentleman and kind hearted. We played hockey together at Milnerton and it wasnt until I stopped hockey and started cycling that I realised just what a beast Adre was on the bike. He was also an outstanding hockey player. Buddy, I am still in shock and am totally shattered! You will be sorely missed and I will cherish the many conversations we shared. You were always mr reliable and the ultimate team player. RIP
  8. True, hard lesson learnt. These guys are brazen, his wife was at home at the time it was stolen
  9. Guys, please be on the lookout for a medium specilaized carbon epic with black ztr crest wheels. The bike also had Ritchey WCS bar ends, not very common anymore. Bike had very unique scratches on the frame from the bike carrier. Was stolen out of my brothers garage in plattekloof glen, cape town. A friend saw the guy on the bike and gave chase but lost him in the side streets by the pick and pay in parow, opposite the catholic church. We have the serial number and there has been unconfirmed reports that the bike was spotted on a local trail this morning. I don't want to say much more but if you know anything or have bought a bike of this description in the last two weeks, you should do the right thing and contact me. I will be giving all the information we have to the detective to follow up. Guys, be safe out there! Thanks Justin
  10. Solo number 78 (not 72), I'll also look out for you guys, I'll be on my rocky mountain element 70, have fun guys!
