  1. We had a close encounter on Sunday morning in Conties, small grass snake I think, I'm no expert but have a healthy respect to stay well clear!
  2. What size would be best to clean a cassette etc?
  3. Classic comment, chirp of the day????
  4. True, hard lesson learnt. These guys are brazen, his wife was at home at the time it was stolen
  5. Guys, please be on the lookout for a medium specilaized carbon epic with black ztr crest wheels. The bike also had Ritchey WCS bar ends, not very common anymore. Bike had very unique scratches on the frame from the bike carrier. Was stolen out of my brothers garage in plattekloof glen, cape town. A friend saw the guy on the bike and gave chase but lost him in the side streets by the pick and pay in parow, opposite the catholic church. We have the serial number and there has been unconfirmed reports that the bike was spotted on a local trail this morning. I don't want to say much more but if you know anything or have bought a bike of this description in the last two weeks, you should do the right thing and contact me. I will be giving all the information we have to the detective to follow up. Guys, be safe out there! Thanks Justin
  6. Solo number 78 (not 72), I'll also look out for you guys, I'll be on my rocky mountain element 70, have fun guys!

  8. I've been through 4 sets of dark lenses in three years, my last set was replaced at the Argus Expo at the Adidas stand at no charge. I now use my evil eyes as my spare because I bought a pair of rudy projects last year. Its been almost a year now since I got them & I have nothing bad to say about them! They are awesome!
  9. Hi Wannabe, add me too, also in E aiming for a sub 3:30 (or better?). Have rode 3:30 last two years but this year with the birth of my son my training has taken a bit of a back seat!
  10. My wife also craves KFC crushers from time to time. Will definately post pics, we still don't know if we're having a little boy or girl? We decided to wait for the surprise.
  11. My wife is 37 weeks pregnant & we dont have long to wait now. Best advise I can give you is to remain patient at all times. Plan trips around toilet stops & always remember she gets tierd really quickly, especially near the end! Taking extra responsibility by doing extra housework is a small sacrifice & it'll also make it easier for you to continue cycling/training keeping her & you happy. Time management is key though! Lastly, enjoy every moment of the pregnancy.
  12. I have both, adidas evil eye pro's (dark, orange, yellow & silver/grey spare lenses) & Rudy project Rydon's with impact Rx lenses (grey to clear lense). Both pairs have my prescription lenses in them. I used the Adidas for three years & have been using the Rudy's for just over one year. Both are good but I personally find the Rudy's are far better with the photochromic lenses, it means less hassle not having to change the lenses all the time & constantly having to wipe away dirty finger marks left behind on the lenses when you change them. The photochromic lenses work & adapt really well to changing light conditions, I even use them when I go do night rides on my mtb. Quality of the lenses & frames are awesome! Cost me R1599 from CWC & about ±R700 for the inserts. Extra cost would be for the eye test? I have had to replace the dark lenses on the adidas twice because the tinting began peeling off? Not sure why they did that. Oh, & I had to replace an arm on the frame that broke off when I dropped them. They also don't fit as nicely as the Rudy's because the Rudy's frames can be adjusted better. I now use the Adidas as my spare pair & every day use & the Rudy's for riding only. Im not saying the Adidas are rubbish, Im just saying I think the Rudy's are much better. My two cents...
  13. Glad you are ok Marius
  14. This is the reason I sold my road bike & started mountain biking instead! A very sad story, good lucky buddy, hope you recover fully & get better soon!
  15. I think the timing mats are actually positioned about 100m further up the road from the finish line & thats why ur final time is slightly more than what you recorded on ur polar?

    Dogs

Don't put the blame on the dog, BLAME THE OWNER! Dogs must be on a leash at all times when in public areas & under the control of the OWNER.
  17. I'll second that, their online service is 1st class & delivery is lightning quick. My last order was delivered to my door by Chris Jnr himself. Well done guys, keep up the good service!
  18. CMC are a good honest bunch that offer very good servicing & advice! I?ve been using them for almost 2 years & have never had any issues. Jaco & Leon have a good team to back them up. AND yes, they are still going strong!!!
