my option is second hand Look Quartz or any one of these for new 1) BBB BPD-11 MountainGo 2) Shimano PD-M520 3) Crank Brother Egg Beater MXR The look quartz still look as if they are in good condition but i do not know which is the best option to go for?

yeah i can second that the looks is more important to her. She checks out a bike and then already decide the color scheme of her cycling gear ... it seems that she likes Merida ... the very expensive one

So the girlfriend wants to join me with mountain biking - i promised her that i will take her to do a trail and see if she really likes it and she did (or that is what she tells me) Now the question - I need to buy her a bike now but i have a very limited budget. I looked at the Avalanche atx250 but after what a few people told me i am not considering it anymore. The other bike that i am looking now at is the Silverback Oakland 2010 model - and a few people told me this is a good entry level bike and it fits mu budget.

i bought a cheap one from mr Price ... Takes only 1liter but i can fit a 500ml powerade bottel extra in it and a pump. and then there is still space for my keys and cellphone .. would not recommend it. I took the bit piece(rubber) off becuase it just did not work for me - really struggled to get water out - so now i have to open and close it the whole time when drinking but i am so trained in it at this stage it does not bother me I have seen to much waterbottels along the rocky roads so i would not recommend it but i guess it depends on how good your holder is and how fast your ride ... Enjoy

Ok so i have a Mongoose Tyax elite (2008 model) which is still standard. I am looking now to upgrade it. What is your recommendations on what i should first upgrade and to what I should upgrade?
