  1. I agree ...
  2. I believe that at the SA Champs (any other event it's fine), a rider should compete in his/her own age group, otherwise why having different age categories. Yes the organisers were at fault by allowing AM to rider one class down and then not let him ride. Look at the 45-49 age group .... Mark Beneke won it but he is actually in 50-54 age group ....
  3. Not at all .. there is some sense of humour in the post; you obviously did not get it!!!! After all Intern's bike was found; surely he is happy ... so why be morbid .. chill Kranswurm ....
  4. check also this thread .... https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=33357
  5. Alternative is to buy a complete light set (light, charger, LiPO battery) from www.brighter-lights.com ... you will not be sorry; he may sound expensive, but the battery and charger alone is worth around 2K and his lights are VERY bright.
  6. Guys give Radtron in Vereeniging a call (they do mail orders). Parts should work out around R400/R500 (excluding the battery) ... very bright light (possibly in the excess of 700 lumens) offcourse you have to built it yourself.
  7. Now if Intern was a bit nicer to Michael, the gu wrapper boy, and yes offcourse Peanut (Michael's side-kick), Michael could have helped looking for the bike whilst picking up gu wrappers!!!
  8. That is why more and more people are buying online from CRC, totalcycling etc. Why have a relationship with a LBS; the internet has a wealth of information; so a buyer can do research before ordering the item from these internet stores and get the best price to your doorstep. No standing around in shops waiting for LBS staff to help you when they feel like!
  9. There is mention of 4h45???
  10. Panther, both will do the job. Towbar version is more expensive, but much easier to remove. Also the bike is not stuck out too much above the roof line with the towbar version; but at double the price of the clipon high?
  11. Panther I speak under correction, I think I paid R2500 about a year ago. Bought it from Westdene .. What car do you have? I know some hubbers sold theirs for around R1250; you may want to do a search on the said item. The best one in the Thule range I would say it's the same design but clips/mounts onto the towbar; but I believe they retail around R4500?
  12. I have the same design Thule on my 2007 Polo. It works well, a bit heavy if you try and remove it yourself. You can scratch the edge of the hatch if you not careful enough. Two bikes fit comfortably next to each other. You can insert two extra rubbers underneath the fitted rubbers (to the window side); this will allow you to use your rear wiper. Thule is a bit expensive; but it is CLASS!
  13. no wonder more and more SA hubbers/cyclists are getting spares from CRC or TOTALCYCLING ...
  14. true ... but I could have also bought new Chorus 10 speed levers for R1600 from CWC .... just found the Campag spare parts price to be too high.
  15. Same with me .... Record Ergo lever, the housing broke on a very light fall (travellling around 15km/h uphill and touching someone's rear wheel). Replaced the broken housing at a LBS, costed me R650 (just for the housing and labour) .......
  16. wishful thinking ... CyclingSA should know who owns myRace ... after all myRACE gets a cut of the license fee the cyclists pay to CyclingSA KlapperKnop2009-05-05 11:49:15
  17. Okay for information purpose .... myRace.co.za; bolandcycling.co.za and cyclinsa.com are all hosted by the same company; to me I think it makes business sense to have a single company hosting; possibly a single developer as well, Justin??. Racetech is hosted at another site. bolandcycling's president is Hendrik Lemmer; CSA president is Greg Till - COO is Carinus Lemmer, myRACE no-one knows, except there is a Justin ...
  18. Seeing Fire is from WC and Wolvie from Gauteng and the votes are so CLOSE .... Pornstar please make both Ambassodors!!
