  1. I am looking for the Rudy Project Wingspan Helmet. Birthday present for my Fiancée
  2. I have heard that if you take cinnamon it curbs your cravings for something sweet when you are hungry. This is from a website: "Cinnamon Creates a thermogenic burn. It reduces cholesterol levels – in particular, lowering bad cholesterol while leaving good cholesterol the same. It is cinnamon’s effect on blood sugar that makes it a potential help in the war against obesity, insulin resistance, sometimes known as "prediabetes," and the "Metabolic Syndrome." Cinnamon can be used in its powdered or stick form, adding it to drinks and foods, or as a supplement." I hope that helps and I am sure that loads of other people will have suggestions

  4. I thought I would create a Saturday laugh while I am sitting tanning in the warm Durban sun. In the new Triathlete SA Magazine there is an advert for the next best recovery thing... The Imazine bracelet........ Ensures quicker recovery just the same story as the power balance... But the thing is the cost, it only costs R99 for a bracelet..... I dont believe in these things at all, but I bet that these are going to sell quicker than free food from a fast food outlet...... Should create some interesting posts!!! I got my popcorn ready......
  5. Here is the funniest review I have read so far. Be warned that there is some profanity and swearing, so if you are not inclined this way you might feel abused and not appreciate the article. Power Balance - Warning very rude and Blasphemous And if you can view the video it is a classic!!!
  6. Thanks for that Astana and thanks everyone else for the well wishes. And in future that is what I will be doing when there is a guy just waiting on the side of the road in a dodgy area!!!! Ja I did not know what was going on, and I reacted by screaming as loud as I could and being MAD which I think scared the attacker a bit also
  7. Well the guy in the Bakkie said that if the attacker did try anything he was going to run him over Crank the shape of the BMW was the one after the dolphin shape and it was like a navy blue in color. The number plate did start with ND but at the time I did not think to make a mental note of the number plate. I also have emailed the SAPS about this, so that they can be made aware of this. One the things I am going to get is some pepper spray. It can spray up to 2meters away which is quite far, and with this at least they cannot get close enough to you. And also once they are sprayed they in too much pain to try and do anything else.
  8. Hi there guys, You can read about what happened here, it is nothing hectic and my mate wrote this for me to make it a lot more funny and an interesting read. Bangers and Nash Dont worry it is a good site to read Thanks Joobs Joobs2009-12-17 09:49:23

  11. This is what I just read on cycling news Bill Stapleton, CSE will own, manage Team RadioShack Quote " After his success at the Leadville 100, Lance is also looking to do some more mountain bike races including the Cape Epic stage race in South Africa. "He really loves it [MTB racing] and RadioShack is very supportive of him doing things outside like that," said Stapleton." Should be very interesting if he does race!!
  12. My GF had the same problem with Outsurance and her car, every year they would hike it up way too much. She would shop around and get a better deal, only to call Outsurance and they would match her new deal, on monthly rate and excess. The only pain here is that you have to threaten to leave every year to keep it at the same rates. We decided to leave as every year the same story they should learn something if it happens year after year....
  13. Great thanks a lot that is what I was looking for. Have a great day.
  14. I got new batteries for my powertap SL but they are the wrong ones. And I threw away my old ones, so I am looking for the model number of the batteries so that i can buy some new ones! If someone can help me out that would be great! Thanks
  15. What I did is I just ate more healthy for sure. But the trick is to just make sure your portions are smaller of what you eat. The other thing is to know when you are full and to stop eating. Even when you still have the delicious food on the table. And if you do a race or training then spoil yourself afterwards with some nice fatty food, otherwise you will go crazy. Hope that helps
  16. You are right, it was nice with no wind, but in the cold it always makes it harder to get warm and to train! But I had a good training ride was as hard as hell!
  17. Well I rode this morning in CT for 2hrs, and it was 5C. But yesterday i rode for 1hr in CT, and with the wind and rain it was way colder on the bike yesterday. I could not use my fingers properly by the time I got home. And EVERYTHING was soaked. So today was much warmer...
  18. Hi Thanks a lot for the feedback, it seems everyone is for the power meter option. And I have to agree that training with power is the way forward.
  19. I was just thinking about it and if you had the choice which one would you choose? They are fairly familiar in price. So which one would be more beneficial? With the power cranks you would learn to pedal correctly and therefore have more power when racing. While with the power meter you would be able to train better and have more information on your training and racing but not necessarily have a big improvement in power? So which one?
  20. Hi there, How do you even go about doing this test? I have a Polar S520i It is a good indication or an idea at least. It is better than nothing!!!
  21. Price is not too bad, I think I will have to look in saving up and getting me a pair and see how they go. Who can I contact when I have got the bucks? Thanks
  22. My question is how much does it cost for a set for the small blade and big blade on a road bike? And where is there more information online? Thanks
  23. Ok that sounds perfect, because my polar is coming up on 3 years old. And I have not updated any software or had the battery changed on anything. I will call them as soon as I get a chance. Thanks
  24. Great thanks, will do
  25. Ok sounds like a plan. Does anyone have the contact details and where to send? Thanks
