What a great event and even better to be surprised with a tail-wind at the turn after Drew. I wonder how many people got tripped up by the sandy section at the bridge just before the three sisters though? Also seemed to be a year of many, many punctures. Can't wait until next year's event now.

Same team and sounds fairly similar to what the Savages saw. One guy wanting to go really fast while the other 11 wanted to finish as a team, cue lots of swearing and shouting at the rest stop which then ended up with a wild swing of fists. Was really unpleasant to see.

Really nice write up. Very important to get the order and rhythm sorted before the event itself, otherwise you see scenes like the fisticuffs we saw at the second rest stop last year. I reckon there are a couple of okes not invited back this time around.

Quick spin out to Millers Point, must be a lot of fish around Cape Point as the parking lot was full already at just past 6.

Hey everyone, Have posted here and there a few times, been a forum lurker for quite a while. Been riding a bike for almost as long as I could walk, was quite a lot faster in my younger days but now ride (and run) just because I enjoy it. I tend to run more over winter and then ride more over summer, not a big fan of cycling when it's dark and due to work and other commitments early mornings are pretty much my time for exercise. P
