Tubeless, I've got the Delphi 6 and it is an auto start/stop (I'm still trying to work out how to change it to manual) The way you explained above is the way I'm riding at the moment, ie. let the computer run on auto recording the actual riding time and using the lap function to get the total riding time including stops. I hope this helps, will let you know if I come right with the change (if it can)
