  15. For Q1, I know of one sweet/salty meal to eat during a race: Butter Crousant with cream cheese, ham and jam. I've tried it and it's not that bad at all, a nice balance of sweet and salty. As for Q2 we follow a normal eating habit with a "fruit & yogurt diet" while at work during the day.
  16. I know this going to be a stupid question but I've NEVER ridden a MTB before and have just gone over to MTB and I'm battling to get me bike setup correct. What is the proper way to setup a MTB? (I don't have the cash or time to go for one of these computer setups) I used to ride a 42 bars on the road, what should it be on MTB? How far back must the saddle be? At what height must the saddle be set? How do I determine the correct stem length for me? Please help!
  17. snap, wolverine, i had a runin with a plonker in a bakkie with trailer who decided to go straight in a right turn ONLY lane, I ended up turning right into the side of his vehicle, but thank the Lord for my bike handling skills. Rude, don't worry as they say "the wheel turns". Hope thank you can get your bike sorted out soon.tazman2007-09-19 00:21:33

  21. TCG, the accom is NOT included in the entry, as per the lik below: http://www.africycle.co.za/cms/page.asp?sPage=accommodation SO I'm really looking at NOT doing it anymore!!
  22. ... who is planning on doing it?
  23. I need to know who is still interested in Saturday's ride? It will be starting at 08H00 at the Glen Acres shopping center in Kempton Park and will be following the same route as Tuesday's ride. The only thing is that we will need to have this ride look like a "training" ride or else the Metro Police will throw their toys out of the cot (I've just spoken to Clint, who arranged Tuesdays ride, and he said that the Metro Police are full of sh$t when it comes to giving permission for this type of thing), so we'll try to keep it as low key as possible, that means, unfortunately NO Motorcade marshalling, we'll have to inforce that ourselves on the bikes. So whoever is still interested PM me. I'll be putting a map of the route up later on.
