This is something I've been trying to figure out for a while. If weight is equal, what makes a bike a better climbing machine?
For climbing the TCR for sure. I bought the 2015 Propel and have the 2017 TCR and the TCR is really made for climbing. I find it alot more responsive and agile. But I also happen to love climbing and weigh below 70kgs so that all helps haha
I actually own both and love them both. While I prefer the TCR due to its climbing ability, I think for triathlons you should go for the Propel, its incredibly aero for the price you pay.
Yeah the guys are great! Love the banter everytime you visit the place
Great service of bikes too!
Anyone know where the main info tent is on race day?
Got an sms to collect my “riding twice start card” there...
Entered team event.
Keen.
Stuffed knee or not, me too !
Also thought the second entry was going to be free to those who entered for two laps last year... queried it and just got a general "come ride twice by paying another R540" HAHA
Seeding index of 29 seems way too high for someone to be able to finish round 1,gather his thoughts and then get back to the start by 9:50 latest
Does anyone have any info on riding the Argus twice? Had two entries last year to do that and haven't heard anything about it as of yet.
Does anyone know anything about doing the argus twice? Heard a rumour that those that bought a 2nd entry last year will get that one again and even for free #wishfulthinking
A savage DC..
Can I join please? Would even offer a "refreshment stop" around Gordon's Bay since I stay there haha
I am also available to join any team since L Etape got cancelled.
Fairly strong...PPA seeding A
But also keen to even just have a great day out there supporting the rest of the team
One year when I have time to do a 2nd lap, I will race to the bar one stop and just park off there till the sweep vehicle comes and then I will push the last rider. Or help the bar one people pack up............
Love it !!! My plan is fairly similar this year.
Smash my first round hard! Then assist my uncle (who has done next to zero training) for a second lap,let him slipstream, push him uphills, feed him and do whatever I can do get him through the 109km. The deal (from his side )is though that if he feels too tempted for a beer or burger break, we stop and just pig out at whatever stand/bar we come across
Come Argus every man and his dog pitch, around 750 who can do a sub 3, compared to around 1,000 who pitch for most other rides.
Money has nothing to do with $ seeding, your index is just not low enough compared to the 200 riders who are seeded $.
Simple maths in this case, not ANC tender ethics.
Oh is that how many $ riders are allowed in the first group starting 6:15??
Thanks in advance.
well im in @ with a 5 index
any elite aged (<30years old) riders make it into &?
Yeah I am also in @ and was $ for Stellenbosch cycle tour!
Does anyone know what the difference between @ and & is ?? In terms of age group 1 and 2?
Looking for one entry for the Argus!!!!!!
Ideally before Christmas so that it can be nicely under the Christmas tree

I have bought several bikes from them and can really recommend them if you want a bargain and enjoy negotiating on the price. HAHA
Online shop=pointless
Actual shop= Utter chaos but that makes it somehow fun, they have a HUGE selection of bikes. Many stored off site but go talk to Fizal (owner). Great guy who can always sort something out.
Become a loyal customer and he will try beat any price there is around!
