  1. Great plan. You will finish around 14h00, leaving 4 1/2 hours of daylight for lap four. Sorry. Not sorry.
  2. Concerned members of a popular local cycling forum have offered to line the road with flogged horses (which are in surplus) so the local rabble rousers can't reach it.
  3. Exploring your hood by bike is actually quite fun. We get so caught up in 'training' we forget to do that sometimes.
  4. .. or, if managed well (with active recovery instead of total rest) it is quite a fun project. I am not counting walks or similar. Riding only, an hour minimum. If that hour only contains 11km, at 98 heart rate, that is also cool. Completely sustainable, and not at all pointless to me.
  5. So the frostbite wasn't that bad.
  6. We go down to ten degrees tomorrow morning, according to YR. I will ride at lunchtime.
  7. 1. It isn't Friday yet. 2. This lifeless horse can be found somewhere here, approximately 12 and 24 months ago.
  8. Still going strong. A few close shaves this week with deadlines and kids, but made each.
  9. The biggest danger facing us all in the 2018 CTCT is the bunch crashing into an over-flogged dead horse.
  10. Is this sort of common sense even allowed here. MODERATORS!!!
  11. That creasing thing sounds odd - you must have got a dud one. I have 15 000-plus km on one of them. Not a crease (?) or saddle sore in sight. Most comfortable saddle I can remember riding, I transfer it between my bikes. I have ridden many (but not all) saddles over the years, and the Fabric guys have got it spot on for me. Therein lies the challenge, of course. Saddles are such personal things. Our butts are all different.
  12. 21/21 No walks or runs. Only one 20 min 'cheat' ride, other than that have stuck to my personal hour a day goal. Was well tired early last week, but now beginning to feel strong again.
  13. Shhhhh. Secret. <the little toy shop next to melissa's in constantia>
  14. It originally press-fit onto the little blue strap (no oversize version available), so the first time you hit 50km/h, it takes off, and you have to climb back up and search. it now glue-fits. best hundred bucks spent in years.
  15. Can I Strava feeding, bathing and getting to bed two toddlers? Two hours of HIIT, suffer score through the roof. Still, 14/14, all on the bike. This is fun.
  16. Done. Another hour in the bag. Only 359 to go. The morning thing was thwarted by two small faces wanting to play. Not that I do early mornings anyway. Just can't.
