Hi all Just wanted some input on buying a bike for my daughter. I think she will enjoy it and riding with me. So i am looking for a decent entry level bike for her. She is 10 and about 1.2m Is there any difference in the entry level bikes and what brand is preferred and which shops in CPT. Budget is about 1k to 2.5k Dunno much about kiddies bikes and i don't think it's not worth buying a 2nd hand kiddies bike also.

Hi Guys My road bike handlebars are too low and the stem is limited and i cannot lift the handlebars up anymore. My current one is 100mm long What is your view on the adjustable stem. Hi Guys I am looking for a bike place or shop where i want a basic bike fit to be done. After about 30min my arms gets lame, sore/stiff neck and shoulders. Budget bike fit will do as i am practising for Argus. I'm in Southern Suburbs, Cpt. Anything from R200 up to R800 will do. Thanks

Thanks for all your comments, much appreciated, I'll invest in a decent road bike then. Maybe sell the MTB and save up later for a decent MTB down the line. So Cannondale, Trek and giant with 105 Shimano or Ultegra as minimum

Hi All Just need some advice wrt choosing on cycle tour bike and upgrading existing bike. I currently own a GT Zaskar 26er small bike and bike needs some attention to the brakes thats squeaking when braking and just feels like i tires me. My height is 1.65m and not sure the correct size for my height. Since i'm also doing my first cycle tour and wanting to enjoy it, i am in 2 minds, either upgrade my MTB or get a decent road bike for the cycle tour and experience a better ride. My budget is start from 6k up to 12k max for something decent. which size is a proper for on a mtb and a road bike. there is lots of good deals on road bikes in the 54cm range, but unsure if it will be too big for me. i have heard that different brands have different sizes in terms of a small medium or big medium. Would appreciate your advice on correct size and minimum decent spec components. enjoying the ride is more important to me then being an out an out racer. Maybe looking at selling or trading my mtb for a raod bike or a better spec mtb or keep my mtb an get a decent raod bike. Suggestion....

Does the brake system make a big difference between the 5 and the 7 and is the 7 still good enough for a casual rider.

Ok cool, Thanks. Is there a big difference in the 5 to the 7. Seems 7 is only available, anyone who knows their parts and specs, do you still think the 7 for 4k is still worth it for a beginner in mountain biking, mostly on road.
