  1. Technically this is a purchase-someone had to buy steel and welding rods, at some point... Longer rides where becoming an issue with being able to carry enough water; and a Camelback was the next best thing to this I'll make whoever gives me two matching bottle cages one as well
  2. Lemme guess, it's already been sold out...
  3. True, but in the 20 odd something times I bought something, most of the sellers weren't in much of a rush to sell. Sure, if you have to sell it, you have to sell it. Depends on your situation. But given the prices at what most resellers buy things anyway, you shouldn't have much of a problem selling it yourself.
  4. Well the resell thing is pretty easy to beat actually. Just don't sell your stuff to them. How easy this is though, I really don't know. I can't see a reseller going out of his way to inform you he's a reseller... Problem I see with trader feedback is, is that if it's a guy with >100 posts, he hasn't got too much to lose ito deleting his account and then opening a new one. Does admin have a way to catch people doing this?
  5. Also not a fan of resellers... Especially when you know they are trying to rip you off. Luckily there is a comments box and people who aren't sleeping
  6. Is this the case with most of BikeMarket's bikes?
  7. I thought that price was to good to be true for normal...Will see if they still have some...
  8. I think having everything logged on Strava is great, and a big part of this challenge, but nothing beats that satisfaction of knowing you did it... On Strava or not...
  9. Mmmmmm... I waited about half an hour for my cellphone to pick up GPS signal tonight; that meant running in the dark... But a run is a run nonetheless, and it beats 45° any day!
  10. Short or long socks; expensive or cheap socks... The debate will go on forever... I personally feel that I would rather spend money on my bike than on socks, so Ackermans/Jet/Woolies/Mr Price will do it for me thanks. I however like simpler designs, and above all, I like my socks long. But, not everybody does-for various reasons. Dissing a guy because he is wearing short socks or wearing long socks just 'to look pro' in my opinion is just meh Wear whatever the hell you like for the reasons you do, and stop making useless arguments about the 'importance' of sock length. Sock length is a fashion thing, so you either like long or short socks. Period. Each person has a very different view on fashion, so for crying out loud, just let each person wear whatever the heck they like. Please!
  11. Probably, but I can see it looking great on Ti too. It would be interesting to see how it looks on a carbon bike
  12. Pity you already bought your SR front derailleur... I'm sure someone in SA can do that to. Please post here if you can...
  13. Guys, this thread is to discuss opinions of the BRAND of socks tested, not their LENGTH
  14. It lets you change gears manually. VW has a similar thing with their DSG where you push the lever to the left and going Tiptronic...
  15. CVT? For some unknown reason they put paddle shifters on the CVT... About the only interesting thing about the car I could find... Very practical though, and while the transmission isn't great for speed, it certainly is for fuel consumption...
  16. Jazz... The perfect old people car(in a good way...) my grandpa used to drive one, never really had any problems with it
  17. Why? Are they just ridden to death?
