  1. Any news on the full video? Edit: Found it on the tube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcJB74UQ1W0
  2. Just checked the pics out. I was glad to meet most of you but bummed i could not join in on all the fun. I was babysitting my 2 girls. Next time lads, and it sounds as if most of you have been bitten by the bug. Awesome.
  3. Go check out the team profile here. http://www.nsrmtb.co...e-gravity-life/
  4. Yeah, that's the section in the video, you can see as Jess enters that section, she lands and goes just to the right of the stump i hit. (Link to the video below). http://dirt.mpora.com/news/dirttvpietermaritzburg-world-cup-practise-session.html Nothing wrong with the 2012 Boxxer races, they are actually very sweet forks. The team bought Tim Bentley's old GT Fury WC, so i put first dibs on the forks. Put them on but haven't been able to test them yet.... Hacked.
  5. Thanks guys, Cap i had a huge one before the big double, after pebble beach @ Cascades. First proper ride on my new bike and it felt so good, that i did not realize how much faster i was rolling into the section before the double. You have to jump over a couple holes and miss a stump to carry enough speed to clear the double. (Same double Jess Stone broke her collarbone over this year). I jumped too far and hit the stump, which knocked my feet off the pedals and ended up sitting down over the drop before the double. Landed front wheel heavy which pringled my front wheel, locked the front up and high sided OTB into the bank on the right side with my right shoulder. It all felt like a muscular injury at the time, but i think their could be a possible fracture involved. Well it was going on 4 weeks ago and the shoulder has strengthened some, but is still to weak to ride. It is getting better though. Bummed about the wheel, and later when i got home, found a compression dent in the frame from the fork stopper, and a broken shifter. Now i have some Boxxer WC's fitted, and can't wait to get back on and see what the new GT is capable of. All i can say is, my motto, Dress for the crash, not the ride. Saved my shoulder, things could have been a lot worse if i wasn't wearing a chest protector.
  6. and man i really want to ride. Taken in a couple DVD's whilst i am injured and i so want to ride.
  7. Mine with the top tube sponsor decals on, and the custom Gravity Life Boxxer WC fork decals.
  8. Nic, your bike is looking sweet china, can't wait to see it with the custom decals on it.
  9. Ordered and eagerly waiting on it's arrival. Gonna tear some hills apart when it arrives. It sure is sweet.
  10. Definatley like that, screw jocks, i'm going commando
  11. Rather wear clean jocks, there may be a HOT nurse in the ER.
  12. Sorry mate, he sold it a while ago.
  13. Thanks for the offers guys. Was able to get a Kona "Loner" from Maverick's. Now the hard part, with so many choices out there, what do i replace the Scott with????
  14. In the pic on the right, the swing arm pivot snapped, above the BB, you see the red tube, the swing arm pivot should be around that pin, now the pivot is further up and slightly to the right.
  15. Took a slow bridge drop on my mates Dh track and landed, bottomed out, heard a snap and skidded to a stop. I am sad....
  16. Cap, I've been a Fox nut since 1988, and i've probably worn all the fox model gloves out there. The epic ones are definatley the pawtector, hands down and i've raced with the pawtector, solo, flex air to mention a few. Recently i have been given a pair of the Kenny Titanium gloves. You know when you slide a glove on and it just feels right, ticks all the boxes so to speak. Comfort & feel i can vouch for, durability i can't yet, i've only ridden 4 times with them. They have the high cuff that you so deservingly are looking for, padding on the palm where it's meant to be and non slip rubber on the braking fingers. Give these a consideration, they are new on the market but i think they are here to stay.
  17. My experience with the Deemax rear has not been to great, i bought the bike, rode it once and the hub cracked where the free hub slides on. Hear that it is quite common for the rear hub to do this. They are a older model wheel set, but show me other hubs that do this. Tried to get a loose replacement Deemax hub, which proved stressful to say the least. I ended up lacing a Hope Pro 2 to the Deemax rim and now i think i have a bullet proof combo. Had no issues with the front. Ohh... and not to scare anyone, the Deemax hub is actually 2 pieces pressed and glued together, unlike others that are machined from a piece of billet.
  18. Here's a very spy shot. http://www.vitalmtb.com/photos/features/Carbon-Trek-Session-DH-Bike,2517/Spy-Shot-Carbon-Trek-Session-DH-Bike,22816/bturman,109
  19. Will check with him and come back to you. Depends also if you want the graphics painted in or if you going to put decals on.

  21. New paint to go with the new team. Ahem..... Gravity Assisted Downhill. Supported By: Kenny Racing Volt Energy Drink Sharpline American Driveline Specialists Aldine Van Dyk (Photography)
  22. I had a Monster and found the energy to change it.
  23. I know, the top half was a wreck, we eventually ended up racing the bottom half of the course for the national, as shuttling and getting the medics to the top half was a huge story. I found out after i almost killed myself entering the gully, tripoding it sideways approaching the jump, that they decided to cancel the race runs. Nice! To give you an indication of how bad the course conditions were, i did a 7:31 in my race run, and the previous dry regional race on the same bottom half course was a 3:25. My fun dial was below zero!
