I need some real world advice....29er full sus Pilot, average weekend rider enjoys racing mid to upper part of field. Question is do i spend a load of cash on a 1300gr set of carbon wheels or a 1450gr set of aluminium that will be less than half the price, coming from a standard set at 1800gr odd. What to do?

I had a incident there a few weeks ago, and when I approached the security all I got was.......eish.......all they do is collect the cash at the gate and NOTHING else. suppose they think the crooks come in the front gate rob peeps and then leave via the main gate.....stooooopid.

Went ridding at Groennies today, at around 2 pm coming down the switch backs on Botha Ave side a individual entered through the fence/gate......no uniform, wearing a pink hat, and in shorts and looking lekker dronk..... Reported to maIn gate.....no action Reported to security at cars.......no action Reported to "Security chief".........no action Seems they more like interested in doing NOTHING...........

Just that......all shifting patterns the same on shifters.....changing from bike to bike, gets annoying some times, the differences that is.

Keen to hear as well......would like to try it.....makes a 1x10 nice and affordable and could be the sweeter option. I have XTR on race bikes....XT on training bikes....wouldn't mind same feeling across all at more reasonable price.
