  1. I did the GCN+ package for half price in Feb. Been very happy so far. Commentators are decent. Plus you can replay the race if you missed it. And way cheaper than the R900 odd per month I was paying for DSTV.
  2. He rode a 3:00? NFW! Super dodge!
  3. Weather was obviously a factor but sad that there were only 800-odd finishers of the 109km race.
  4. Emperors Classic even faster.
  5. Stoked for Matt!
  6. Is it just me or you can't spend 1 Diamond? You need a minimum of 2 Diamonds before you are eligible for an award. I have a single Diamond and it expires this week. What a waste!
  7. Amazing work, thank you! Now run a regression analysis and the x value (slope) will be the Racetec beta (or very close to).
  8. My 1998 and 1999 947 results were also not on Racetec. But I had the certificates. So I scanned them in and sent them to the 947 organisers who got them to Racetec. They added them to my Racetec profile within a couple of days. All sorted. You should give it a try...
  9. Ah ok, I see what you mean. So the Cape Point forecast is shocking, but the city bowl forecast is the benign forecast that I was looking at. Cape Point is obviously one of the windiest places in the entire country. Oh well - at this point my 50mm wheels are already boxed and on the way down. I did sneak in one box rim wheel so worst case scenario i will swap front wheels out and hope for the best!
  10. Windy App has a completely different (and benign) forecast FWIW
  11. You should see how many people cheat at the Lonehill ParkRun (easy to do because it's a 2 lapper). It's embarrassing to watch. I've even seen a mom showing her kids how to do it.
  12. 85th for me. Missed GVA, Alaphilippe and Latour. Although Latour got seriously lucky when Bernal lost 16 minutes on that one stage in the first week. Nevertheless, great fun and well done to everyone!
  13. A stiff drink for me tonight in celebration that GVA finally gets 0 points for the day
  14. Lemme try this again... there is no way he will still be in yellow after Stage 11
  15. No way GVA getting over that stage profile in the lead GC group.
  16. I thought Sky would pip BMC in the TTT and that would put Thomas in yellow. But it literally came down to a few seconds. Fine margins in this game! Next week bodes well however, and the classic specialists will be a liability in week 2 and 3!
  17. He seems to have some consistent results in AL, maybe time to get licensed?
  18. Something looks strange with the seeding. My ASG road index is 14.8 and I'm in HL. The 3rd last group.
  19. That's a huge relief. My Windy app has terrible wind forecast for Cape Point on Sunday.
  20. Tshwane Classic seems to be on the official seeding list, at least for 2019...perhaps they couldn't get 2018 right.
  21. Wonder why the Tshwane Classic has a penalty of 5 and it was only held 3 months ago?
  22. I'm interested in getting Discovery points. Can anyone help? I use a CycleOps Hammer with Zwift. I also have a Garmin Edge 510 with speed and cadence sensors on my bike. Obviously when riding indoors on the Hammer my back wheel is off so no distance would be measured. Should I merely pop my Garmin on when I am riding Zwift and record my heart rate and cadence? Will this work and will I get the Discovery points (obviously assuming my heart rate is in the correct point zones)?
  23. Yes, the overall predictions really shook the leaderboard up. Last Chance Saloon had both the mens and womens overall correct so that was 200 points in the bag right there. Not many people had that correct.
  24. By my rough calcs (please excuse any errors), the standings are actually more like this heading into the last stage. (Actual standings at the end of Stage 6 plus forecasted Overall prediction scores). 1 Last Chance Saloon 1525 2 Special Stofel 1510 3 Splashsticks 1500 4 Groot Lem 1500 5 IDS 1495 6 The Wolfpack 1490 7 Wa Ma Kyte 1490 8 PerfHeart 1485 9 A Flying Sauser 1480 10 Bar 1 1465 11 Winning Team 1455 12 Team Ferret 1435 13 The Conquerors 1395 14 Go Brother 1385 Last Chance Saloon will be hard to beat with their 15 point lead. I'm Splashsticks BTW. Good luck everyone!
  25. He is 24, turning 25 at the end of this year. I vaguely recall that he had a stint with MTN Qhubeka previously. Might be mistaken however. Well done Kent!
