  1. Looks like this is the most common suggestion - worn threads leading to a bit of movement of time and a slow loosening. Think I will try the silicon proposal. Just really irritating when you cant get these things off and end up angle grinding to save the freehub!
  2. Will do. Thx. Am also replacing all four bearings "justin"...
  3. Tight tight - no sign of wear or loose cassette.
  4. So I have given up trying to solve this: SRAM Eagle XX 12 spd XD cassette tightened very very firmly on to Industry Nine Torch freehub..... randomly comes loose! Sometimes twenty rides, sometimes one ride. Internet says it is impossible but it is happening. I know most people have the problem of getting off but I have the problem of staying on - as regards the above cassette topic of course😁 Any good ideas?
  5. I am a big fan - they have been great.
  6. I get a lot of great stuff from good people through the Bikehub community. Certainly over a hundred excellent deals. And of course a few not good deals. My concern with a thread like this is that everyone shares the "bad news" and this creates a negative impression, instills fear and in some way depreciates our tremendous community. Hopefully readers will realise that for every bad story there are literally hundreds of great results from the Bikehub network. And it is way better than any other marketplace.....
  7. WOW - that's good news.... catching the bad guys is a fine result!
  8. Put a patch on the inside.... 100% solution.
  9. I am just not sure that frame isn't 'foldable'... maybe on a decent downhill?
  10. Housing, living and now cycling are all a bit more expensive in the Cape... the worst example is probably wheel builds: +/- R500 in CPT and R180 in Bloemfontein!! I have bought many bikes on The Hub: sight unseen from all around the country and never had a bad experience. You can always get the LBS to confirm the bike exists, communicate one on one, check the ratings and you will be surprised at just how honest 'most' Hubbers are. The more readily we buy out of town, the less the price discrepancy will be. Good for everyone.
