  1. I haven't seen a chrome frame in a while. This is a beaut
  2. He is bound to bounce back BIG TIME DD has had a really k@k year and serious bad luck but I believe they are going to do well the remainder of the season.
  3. Nothing like German efficiency!
  4. Awesome ride by Nikki. Well done Terpstra and QS. Can't wait for Paris-Roubaix
  5. Prevention - chamois cream- Assos Cure- immediately as the bump comes out- Tea tree oil Keep up the hygiene
  6. I've bought a few frames from China and have always just collected them from the post office. Never any problems. I just pay the amount that has been pre-calculated by customs. In your case, I would suggest declaring it and yes, pay the vat. Don't know what you paying for the frame but the sellers normally don't mind giving you an invoice for less.
  7. Cav is cocky but he is interesting. Gives people something/someone to talk about. He is not a doper and he has balls. Good for cycling in general and like Patch said we all different and we all see things differently. I find Cav an interesting character and I'm not that great a fan of Sagan. I don't dislike Sagan and will be the first to acknowledge how good he is. It's just a personal thing like Patchelicious said.
  8. They will have the backing of our new minister of police who doesn't take *** from kabouters
  9. Sad sad news . This is almost happening on a weekly basis. The courts need to sentence these bastards to the maximum sentence and not be lenient. There can be no extenuating circumstances for these cowardly murderous acts. Condolences to the family. I can not imagine the pain they must be experiencing.
  10. Gotty built me a beautiful black and gold custom Peugeot via George from Mean Machines in Germiston. I used to work for George in the shop after school and on weekends. Can't remember if it was Reynolds or Vitus tubing. This was back in the early 1980's. Fond memories of a superb bike.
  11. Much appreciated. I bought the stuff in August!
  12. Hi guys. Somewhat off topic but can anyone help with local post office info? I have a parcel from AliExpress arriving in SA in September and still not delivered. The latest update I can find is '' departure from inward office of exchange(JIMC A) on the 31st of October. Any idea what the next step is and the possible time frame? It has to come to Port Shepstone.
  13. The Titan with the new Tiagra groupset is a good buy and will be fine for your intended use. The shifting is pretty good and the rest of the components are quality and only slightly heavier than 105. The weight difference will not be an issue really as you are not a small guy. I'm 85kg and ride with 25c tyres. I don't see any reason to go bigger than 28. Just make sure that the frame can take 28 wide tyres. Wishing you all the best with whatever bike you decide on. Enjoy !
  14. I have been buying from CRC since 2012. Always used the free option and never waited longer than 3 weeks. On occasions got stuff within a week. DHL is obviously the best choice but I have never had an issue with either Wiggle or CRC and the free shipping. I have stopped buying shoes however due to the hefty duties on clothing.
  15. Hello South Africa Our postal service like so many other ''services'' is just awesome
  16. Nice one . Thanks 'Dale.
  17. I would like to see Boonen ending on a high but Sagan, the wild man, is such a destoyer. Not a huge fan(not a hater either) but admires his brute strength. Dont think he will be taking any prisoners in the Classics
  18. What a nice frame. Look at those long lines. Definately built for riding. Im thinking more endurance geometry instead of sprinting..
  19. I'd smaaaaaak to try one their road bikes. Have been looking and the want is growing..
  20. And me from Nigeria. A lot of guys coming down for the Argus later or they would have joined the ride for Gregory.
  21. Awesome that you are sponsoring a kid . I work in Nigeria so obviously do most of my riding there and ride with 5 Team Nigeria riders (3 females and 2 males) as well as a lot of youngsters from 11 to 19. The talent and commitment is phenomenal but they get hardly any help from the Government (the National riders) and 95% of all the riders, including the kids, are dirt poor. They don't dope to win races, they ride because they want to and enjoy it.Some of the bikes they ride are 30 years old. They don't have money for fancy bikes, fancy kit etc but they ride with smiles on their faces. Reminds me, as I was doing my morning ride here at home, a Cannondale kitted rider and his friend were coming the opposite way. I smiled and waved (as I enjoy riding my bike and am a friendly kind of guy) only to be ignored. Wow, I thought, these guys are coming down to the coast to ride my waves and ride on my road and they can't even lift a hand to greet. They must obviously hate riding as it seems to make them really unhappy. Keep on with the good work with your 18 year old and encourage him that hard work pays off. He certainly sounds like he has the right attitude. My motto in life is Attitude determines Altitude.
