  1. I used www.pinned.co.za for the first time. Quick and easy
  2. Cool. I suppose it is something you need to feel then. I've never understood the appeal of carbon, but I suppose there must be something...
  3. Interesting... What wheels did you have previously(same weight)? And you running the exact same tires?
  4. Awesome... I wonder if they will cater for 27.5
  5. Geez, my opinion is not to go too crazy. Just spray with degreaser, run chain against a brush, then rise off. Let dry and lube with Smoove.
  6. I'd definitely do with the SLX. It is on a higher level compared to NX (IMHO), and cheaper.
  7. Totally agree.. the portage sections are awesome! The trails are quite "raw" - no jumps and berms. A lot of it is like a hiking trail that is rideable.
  8. There are some trails started at Sanddrif. I really enjoyed them. http://www.sanddrif.com/mountain-biking-trail-running/ The Wolfberg trails is short, but the most fun if you enjoy technical section that are labelled as "portage" i.e. carry your bike, but they are rideable if you have a dropper post and like slow technical descents. Then the Klihuis trail is also fun, and you can link it to the others when you reach the dirt road, half way. https://www.sanddrif.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/CederbergMapA4.jpg
  9. I'm wondering if changing the front is going to make a big difference? I think the purgatory is on the aggressive side for an XC rear. I'd consider a different rear first.
  10. On my 27.5 Trance with 30mm ID rims, I've got a 2.6 Eliminator on the front. It measures about 2.5. Pretty happy with it. Got a 2.3 Aggressor on the rear... grips pretty well, but feels slow. Any suggestions for something that rolls a bit faster? Previous bike had Nobby Nics which rolled fast but didn't grip.
  11. Best prince on an Eagle X01 Chain?

    45k mtb?

I'd look at a 1 or 2 year old Giant Anthem...
  13. I just bought a bike with them on, and they feel good, but are quite soft and might wear quickly? I think I have the thin size though - thick would be better for me.
  14. Yes please!
  15. Website says: "Rock Shox 15x100mm Maxle Lite" So it is non-boost.
