  3. I don't think so. I kmow you can't use shimano shifters on the Sram raod groups. Something about how the how the shifters have different cable pull ratio. Best thing phone Ian at CApe cycle systems and have a chat to him.
  4. Did mtb for a couple of months. 75km took 5hrs!!! Almost fell on my back. Had to sell mtb as we have a bambino on the way. Won't have enough time for both bikes. So had to choose.

  6. Yup only struggles with SRAM. HAve taken it to Port Elizabeth to have it done properly. Have spoken to my LBS about me moving to another bike shop. They seem abit stressed about it so maybe they will do something asap.

  8. I work my own hours. I do 3 rides during the week of 40 to 50km. On the week end do 90 or a 100 on sat and sunday is my cruise day do a 40km recovery ride. But wind and weather plays a major part of deciding my rides.
  9. Only had my new bike since Feb. Still have my other carbon bike. Whenever I sell my bike I buy a new computer for the bikethat is sold. But the buyer is told what mileage more or less the bike has.
  10. Yup average about 250km or so a week.
  11. I reckon get a road bike. You wouldn't go MTB racing on a road bike. So it's a case of horses for courses.
  12. DUnno Chris. When she sits on it she will found out quickly enough. IF she is going to ride it all the time, best to get a ladies one I reckon.

  16. @Marius congrats on making the leap. I will never look back after buying a new bike with SRAM. Looking at upgrading to RED soon.The red shifters are pure porn!

  18. Ladies spec saddle is a must. The mens saddle will tenderise things it shouldn't. Founds the ladies serfas saddle quite decent for my wife. She sat and loved it from the first second. Like bike monster said, price is irrelvant, if you bum likes it, buy it.

  22. Well if thats the case willbe looking at a new brand and not scott. Cervelo or specialized will be high on the list.
  23. I went from shimano to SRAM force will never look back. Double tap atkes all of 5mins to master. Shifts far quicker. Marginally noiser than shimano but much later and far harder wearing.
  24. Will try and see. Off to the track now. Feel like going around in circles.
  25. I reckon I must try and find a buyer for my Team bike. But hard to find a buyer for a 56cm
