  1. I’ve been fortunate enough to get my hands on the new Giant Anthem, and wow — what a bike. For context, I came from a 2018 Anthem, so I skipped the previous generation. A few things really stand out. The move to 120 mm of travel is a massive win (up from 90 mm rear / 100 mm front on my old bike). On longer rides, there’s noticeably less fatigue, and the suspension feels incredibly smooth. The new wheels are just as impressive - engagement is instant and makes the bike feel lively and responsive. The bar and stem combo is clean , and I upgraded to the newer XT Trail 4-pot brakes, which I’m really glad I did. They add to the overall clean look and perform exceptionally well. The dropper post, however, I’m still on the fence about. At the moment it feels very much all or nothing - either fully up or fully down, with not much usable range in between. Time will tell. Overall, though, this is a seriously capable and refined bike, and a big step forward from the older Anthem I came from. Shoutout to @East City Cycles for organising this bike. Awesome service as always!
  2. Yea it was. We were fortune enough to do last year epic as well, food was substantially better.
  3. Food was atrocious, they gave us a ice cold toasted cheese and tomato samie the one day... Quiche - who the hell wants that after 6 hours on the bicycle! Most of the food was dry so super hard to put down, let alone a salad with only lettuce and a few soggy croutons. We ended up either not eating (not ideal) or buying Pizza at one of the food trucks.
  4. Ive recently purchased the new Giant revolt, the first thing i did was take out the dfuse seatpost and put a round seatpost (30.9mm) in. This seems to be the best preventative measure, done over 2500 km on my revolt with no issues. The revolt can take up to a 53mm tire in long flip chip position, ive seen one with a 2.1 mtb tire in. you wont go wrong with this bike
