  1. vaulter....you didn't buy that bike from Raoul did you...?
  2. Before I did all my own bike stuff a 'mechanic' at a bikeshop asked me why it mattered where he put the logo on my tyres and I said it doesn't but it does show me that the oke working on my bike cares ......... Yip....it's called 'attention to detail'. Some people just don't have it. Get new rims
  3. Exactly BB STM....your 34:32 is harder than his 24:25
  4. The correct way for the tyres to be fitted is with the tyre logos matching the rim logos. Looks way neater as well.
  5. My song for today: John Mayer doing The Police - Message In A Bottle better than Sting himself can.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmYys-ZjNrg
  6. Guys....you're kinda missing the point. It solves a specific problem relating to SLOPESTYLE and JUMPBIKES. The issue is that there's not enough room within proper slopestyle/jump bike geometry for a rear suspension system. Have a look at that pic. See how close the rear wheel is to the seattube and saddle? No room for suspension. Moving it to this position solves that problem. Using this system on an xc bike won't solve any issues as xc geometry is not affected by the addition of rear-suspension.....hence it won't ever be used on xc. Plus doing so will be overly complicated because it would require somehow designing this system so that the distance between the seat and bars remains constant. This again is not an issue as SS/jump bike riders are only ever seated when they're sitting around tuning each other's technique. Class over
  7. Only when you're seated, which is no advisable on dirtjumps or slopestyle courses, which is what the bike is intended for. It makes perfect sense.
  8. I've had very good service from Bowmans 021-423-2527 MintSauce2008-10-23 02:56:24

  10. Time for a cup of tea and some Ryan Adams & The Cardinals
  11. Seether, aKing, Fokofpolisiekar and Parlotones are all great SA bands, but here's a link to what I honestly think is the best band to come out of SA. This song was featured on the American TV series One Tree Hill recently and some of their other tracks have been used numerous time on US tv. I've mentioned them before and in case you weren't listening....here's another chance. They're called Civil Twilight. Recently signed to Wind-Up Records(Evanesence, Seether and Creed) This song is simply hauntingly beautiful! It's called 'Quiet In My Town'
  12. er' date=' frame is 10g heavier than the Anthem Advanced Carbon [/quote'] Spoke to one of the local Giant employees earlier in the year. He was telling us that Giant were moving away from carbon as they felt they could achieve the same weight with ali and the carbon offered no real benefits. Finally seems like someone is brave enough to ignore all the marketing hype.
  13. I'm still listening to the John Butler Trio...
  14. +1 on this one. intern....I think you need to give the kid a bit of a break, even though it is probably highly annoying! And FFS grab a hold of yourself dammit! And HR.....
  15. ja me too' date=' but then I'm a girl and I can multi task [/quote'] Let's see.... girl = multi-tasking girl = ride like a girl multi-tasking = ride like a girl No thanks....I'm happy doing one thing at a time
  16. He might not because he does not approve of 'poofter' wheels....I reckon those both qualify
  17. Some more John Butler Trio....I love these guys Treat Yo Momma Right http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6l3Z5yIGRM&feature=related Zebra
  18. Eish....I'm really into so many good tunes at the moment, but if forced to choose it would have to be What You Want by The John Butler Trio
  19. Erm.....I did now Sold the frame recently though....looking for something bigger
  20. That's a damn good price for a complete kit! I went with a WTB cog as it has a much wider contact surface. Plain flat cogs sometimes chew up your freewheel body. As for spacers, the easiest is to use either external BB spacers(there's always extra with a new BB....ask your LBS) or just split an old/cheap cassette. It's held together with rivets that come off pretty easily.
