  3. Yeah....all that matters is that it looks good I bet you're a roadie, eh?
  4. Knew it....no way they'd go back to Fox after kicking them in the nuts last year. Can't see the design changing much. And if they wanted the chainstays shorter surely it can be done with the current design....there's plenty of space. As for weight....I've been told Sauser's FS racebike weighs in at 9.2 or 9.4kg if I remember correctly...?
  5. With all them russki hotties playing' date=' she realised there's some level she just can't compete on... [/quote'] Pics...? Oops....wrong forum....post em in Chit Chat!
  6. It's like buying a waarenty on a 2nd hand car....it's one of the reasons I insured my bike in the first place. I don't like the idea of forking out 18k to replace my frame in the event that something does go wrong. It's the same reason your insurance company will replace the sealing and carpets in your house when the geaser bursts and floods it. Make sense now...?
  7. Now wouldn't you much rather ride a handbuilt custom beauty by a small employee-owned company that makes a few hundred frames a year...?
  8. That would be what we call cross-chaining. This is very bad for your chain and cogs as it causes excessive wear. The reason it sags is because the derailleur cannot take up all the slack. Many people don't realise that just because the salesman told you it has 18/20/24/27 gears doesn't mean they're all usable. On a 27spd MTB you probably only have in the region of 12-14 usable gears since their is plenty of overlapping gears(similar ratios on different combinations of the cogs and rings)
  9. Got a quote from Pedalcare a while ago so will have a look at their policy anyway So typical of insurance companies to do this
  10. Got my revised policy today. This has been added under 'Special Exclusions' 4.6 damage due to and of which the underlying cause can be ascribed to latent defects, metal fatique or any other inherent vice or manufacturing defect irrespective of whether or not the claim is entertained by the manufacturer. So basically if your frame is out of warrenty and cracks/breaks they won't cover it....time to move on I think
  11. Come on boys....play nice
  12. Veyron, lets not turn this into a Shimano hate thread its unnessacery, and uncalled for. Is it a hate-thread if he's stating a fact....?
  13. Seriously though....just remembered that the new Collective movie is out. Watched the trailer and got goosebumps.....gonna go order it right now!
  14. I'm it guys....open your eyes
  15. I did a ride in January with someone on one of these protos. Thought of taking pics and posting on the hub but didn't want to be seen as acknowledging a Raleigh *flame shield on*
  16. Aah that sucks.....such a cool dude as well!
  17. Drilled my cable stops to run full housing. Easy job and the warrenty wasn't affected
  18. Well, here she is in all her glory(and some dirt from the last ride before I stripped her....didn't have time to wash all the parts before building) Looking fwd to getting her dirty(er) tomorrow!
  19. Mampara....jou ou doring
  20. Don't count on it.....in the Cape the wind is here for no other reason than to piss us all off! Did a ride from the northern subs a few years ago into a hectic headwind. Stopped at Blouberg for 5mins and headed home looking forward to the ride back only to discover that the wind had turned 180degrees and I was going to have the same fight back home
  21. Don't we all...?
