The Bottelary Hills are pretty awesome as well. But you also need a R50 day pass. I'll also recommend going to Jonkers. You definitely will not be dissapointed. Make sure you do the Canaries, Never ending and then the quarry. Thats about a 2-3h session

Hi almal, Soos die somer op ons is en die hitte van die dag 'n faktor begin raak is vroeg oggend oefen in die orde van die dag.En naweke is die enigste tyd wanneer mens lekker lang ritte kan inkry... Sommige Sondae word daar dan egter lang roetes gery en kerk word soms prysgegee. Ek het gewonder of daar belangstelling sou wees, in die Bottelary Hills area, vir 'n soortvan "Kerk"-MTB so een of 2 keer n maand. Waar daar op 'n spesifieke plek byeengekom word en so ook ons lof aan ons Skepper te bring. Die rede hoekom ek spesifiek oor MTB praat is omdat ek persoonlik meer bewus raak van Sy teenwoordigheid as ek in die buitelug is. Ek verwelkom enige terugvoering.

Ask around for the 2013 Scott Spark 26ers. Their prices dropped a lot due to everyone buying 29ers. My girlfriend got the Spark 650(not wheelsize), which is a 26er. She is about 1.57 so she also decided to not go the 29er route. Full xt, remote lockout for around 15k. Otherwise go for an Anthem. Can not go wrong with them!

I do not wish to sound insensitive with this topic, but I am kind of upset and enraged at the moment. I was at the tribute ride on Sunday @ Stellenbosch and I really thought the message of road safety got through to everyone... Apparently not... I just came from Hermanus and just as you cross the Steenbras Dam, before you get the turn-off to the lookout point, there were 3 guys cycling toward Somerset-West. The road was crazy busy with holiday traffic and these guys, or at least one of them thought it wise to ride beside his partner...Over the yellow line! With all the trucks, minibuses, caravans etc, you would think these guys have a death wish. And then the negligence of the cyclists are to blame in instances like this, but we all tend to blame the drivers of the cars. How will drivers respect you if you do not respect the road??

Hi Guys, Its time for my girlfriend to upgrade her bike. She enjoys her singletrack, but not really keen on going at the speed of light. I think she likes to keep her pretty face pretty. Now comes my question... Should she go for a nice xc dual sus like a spark or anthem or maybe a carbon hardtail because she wouldn't really need that extra shock? She was sold on the Silverback Senza DS but then the guy at Cycle Factory told me they were only sold in Europe. Also she'd like to buy a new bike. Hi Guys, I've been riding for a while now and i've got a hardtail. Ive done the karoo to coast, 2 argusses, and a wolseley race and i must admit i like my hardtail, but i think its time for me to make the switch to a dual. I enjoy singletrack the most of all the aspects of mtb-ing but not crazy jumps and drops. And the agony of a "sinkplaat pad" on a hardtail is another reason i must admit. Now, to the interesting stuff... The choices My budget is limited to around 12k( i know thats not ideal), but thats what i've got. Not too fond on merida as a brand... Don't know why... Anyway, opinions will be appreciated
