    Advice needed: I'm a noob just getting into the world of MTB, and busy kitting up. Was looking around for a cheapie Bike Computer just to keep track of my rides (Speed, Distance, etc.), nothing fancy for now until I get the hang of this. Came across the FLUID 10 Function Bicycle Computer selling at Makro (Yes, that dreaded shop), for R169.     What would be the best choice be between the following 2 bikes for enrty level or beginner rider. Merida Ride 100 or Silverback Strela 3. I will only do it for myself and fitness, planning to ride the 94.7 and Cape Town Cycle Tour and maybe small in between races.

    Hello, Quick query regarding Shocks on my first MTB (Air/Coil), and what is the best way to go. Obviously I assume the air shocks will give me a softer ride, but is it a key factor I should consider now? I also heard that the maintenance on the coil shocks is a lot higher/more costly? When looking at entry-level bikes (8k price range), this obviously disqualifies quite a few if I focus on getting air shocks. Thoughts?

    Hi all I have just started road cycling (have always been a runner) and am looking for a group riding from Broadacres/The Cradle, especially during the week. My fitness is decent but my cycling skills are shaky! At the moment I am up to 45ks with a 24km/h average. I am in JHB over the whole festive season, and am really keen to do some longer rides. Don't feel that comfortable riding on my own. Thanks! Felicity
