  2. Hi All you super guru's! I need to pick your collective please My wife has a Merida Big Nine 300 with a 2 x 10 xt and FSA TH-7420ST Cartridge Bearing BB. We would like to upgrade to 1x12 NX and here comes the question.... Do we: Change the bottom bracket and replace the entire group set with cranks (not sure if its 170mm or 175mm as its a small) Keep the BB and just upgrade the front chainring with an upgrade kit (Not sure about chain line etc) Any other suggestions? This is all foreign to me but with the cost of the upgrade i would like to make sure we get it right first time. Im sure this will help a few other people out there in the same boat Thank you in advance! Warren

  4. Okay, guys. Another Q&A. I'm doing my own wrenching for the first time, so apologies in advance if my question seems daft. When affixing my new SRAM NX RD to the hanger of my bike and with the nut/screw/whatever fastened, the RD can still move freely (swing) on the RD. By "swinging", I mean that with the RD fastened to the hanger and looking at the bike from the right side, it can move/swing to the left. It obviously stops on the hangar stop, but can still move towards the back of the bike. Now, is it supposed to be able to move freely to the back of the bike or should it be completely fixed to the hanger?
