  1. A weekend of jumps, enduro, whips, fires, and laughs are the story at Dawn Of The Dirt 2016. Justin Novella (with a few helping hands) built a fresh new line to accompany the original jumps from last year at the Garden Route Trail Park. We had some issues with the dirt at the last minute, but the boys pulled together and we had the jumps running fast and fun by Sunday. South Africa's top shredders in BMX and MTB were progressing their tricks all weekend sending new stuff. I can't wait to see what happens next year. Click here to view the article
  2. Ike, what promise this guy has! Living out on a farm in Vuurberg, an hour out of Cape Town, he has a playground any 12 year old shredder could only dream of. Over the last couple of years, local building OG Bennet Nel has been carving lines into their local hill with features that progress with Ike's riding. 2016 was a successful year for Ike, he travelled to Europe to compete in the U13 World Cup, where he grabbed the top step! Ike's style reminds me of some of the top World Cup guys and girls, he has incredible bike control but doesn't mind hanging it out! Click here to view the article
  3. Dawn of the Dirt took place in mid November at the Garden Route Trail Park. The main event was a dirt jump jam including mountain bike and BMX riders. The event also featured an enduro, making the most of the amazing single track on offer at the Trail Park. Watch Thomas Sandell's highlights video from Dawn Of The Dirt. 4. The annual Rocky Mountain Rocky Forest Fest took place this past weekend at the Garden Route Trial Park, just outside Knysna. With a variety of not-so-serious events taking place during the course of the weekend, with the idea of getting riders a chance to test out some Rocky Mountain bikes, the main feature was the first ever timed Garden Route Trail Park Enduro. 5. Stefan Garlicki rides his local MX Track and his new downhill track at his farm in Wellington, South Africa. Click here to view the article
  6. 98 riders made the trek out to Delvera trail centre just outside Stellenbosch on a fresh Autumn Sunday to take part in the one day Enduro stage race. The 15.8km route was broken up into 4 timed special stages and 4 non timed Liaisons. Unlike last year the organisers decided to combine SS2 and SS3 together to help the flow of the course and create a stage with contrasting features from technical rocky tight sections to hard pack flowy singletrack with jumps and berms near the bottom. 7. A 5 month long break in racing, saw the Western Province Gravity Enduro host round 3 for the first time at the infamous Contermanskloof MTB trails. The wind-swept, barren and dry surroundings presented a different kind of beauty and the 3 special stages left the 87 riders wanting more, despite a nasty wind and soaring temperatures. The 3 timed stages totalled a distance of 6.2km with an elevation drop of 546m and an average gradient of -8.3%. Click here to view the article
