  1. Very new to the group and to cycling in general. I'm training for a triathlon in December and would like to spend more time in the saddle on the road. Most of my training has been on Wattbikes up to this point, not sure how well that translates haha. Would be very keen to find other beginner/newish cyclists in the North of Joburg who would be keen on meeting up a couple times a week for rides, probably around 40 to 60km long. I'm not the quickest at the moment but hope to get quicker haha. Shout if it sounds like something you'd be keen on.
  2. Hi everyone, My girlfriend and I are in Nelspruit for the next week. Are there any group rides we can join in the week and over the weekend?
  3. I'm keen to join a road group ride, ideally on Sunday mornings, starting in or around the Southern Suburbs in Cape Town. (I'm a male, early fourties) I ride most Sunday mornings, anywhere between 70-110km distance at around 26-30km/h average pace... depending on the group and route. Can only really ride on Sunday mornings due to family obligations on Saturdays. Could be up for a shorter weekday ride when we have a bit more light going towards summer. Currently training for the CTCT in October and possibly DC in November if we can get a group together. Any suggestions or intros are most welcome. Cheers, MV
  4. I will be moving from JHB to Cape Town on the 16th of July and was wondering if there are any weekday morning group rides around the Lakeside area? Similar to Engen2Engen? Even afternoon rides would do. Any advice or recommendations would be highly appreciated. TIA!
  5. Greetings fellow Hubbers Quick request from the owner of the gym/fitness center by the Seattle Coffee at Grosvenor Crossing. They open up at 0500, which is when most of the rides start, or the meets happen. Their clients cant find parking, as there are many of us also raring to go at that time. Was hoping-any chance the congregating could happen on the other side, directly across from the Seattle so the early morning clients can get parking and also get their workout in? We all know how tough times are and loosing an already waning customer base is really tough. If all the guys and gals could get together in the marked area? just to give the tenants a hand. With peace and cycling love. VIDEO-2021-11-18-09-45-57.mp4
  6. Hi Hubbers! CALLING ALL LADY RIDERS!! My husband recruited me into the wonderful world of mountain biking pretty recently - Although I love hiking, Mountain Biking takes being in nature to a whole new level with a competitive edge. Im a beginner - still waiting to upgrade from my entry level Giant Revel. I would really love to set up a social biking group for women who want to ride together and meet new friends while enjoying the awesome trails in Cape Town and surrounds. Is there anyone out there that would be interested? - no fees, just fun! Guys - Tell your ladies to join the Forum! - its a bit of a sausage fest out here.
