I am looking to upgrade my mtb and am currently looking at the Mongoose Meteore comp or the Silverback Ventura. Please could someone give me there take on which on is better.Meteore - Rock Shox Tora air, X7 and X5 Silverback - Rock Shox Recon silver air, XT and SLX Thanks

Edwin Watson Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 The Recon is a better shock and the XT is equivalent to X9 so you not getting your moneys worth with the Meteore component wise! I would say the Venture but you can buy the spectra for R9999 last time I checked and the components are very good on that bike so if you have the spare cash check that one out. Also ride the two and see which feels better!
Moolz Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Silverback for sure - based on the price and components...I have a 2010 Nabraska (Ventura) equivalent - and still battle to find another bike with the same specs for a similar price... As per Edwin Watson - see if you can find a 2nd hand Sierra - better components at a similar or cheaper price...
