What do you want to spend is the most NB question really. Then - what use - racing, playing etc. Weight or strength 1st?

I also prefer custom built with standard DB spokes for easy replacement.

Crossmax Sl/SLr are durable and strong.

They are completely servicable and they are very light.

what more do you need ?

Just be carefull of the dt rims, although they are one of the best rides, they do not make a ust one, and with a conversion kit,  tyres are a mission to install, and some dont even fit.

Chris King hubs, dt double butted spokes, mavic tubeless rim. If not chris king, i would go dt 240 hubs. Lowest maintenance wheel / hub combo on the market.

XTR wheels, although they are super light, the rims are made of scandium..which basically means that they are super stiff for a limited time frame only. The hubs are also old school bearing, has its pros and cons.

Crossmax....Mmmm 85 kg. Isnt that bang on the recommended weight limit??
