  1. What, you "scanned" it with your TV remote? Or did you use one of those things they use at Pick n Pay? The sealant recipe sounds good though.

  3. That will work, but then the bike is hanging more or less in the middle of the room.
  4. Everybody and his dog is a safety officer these days.
  5. Here is the bikeSnob take on this: http://bikesnobnyc.blogspot.com/2014/05/riding-connected-smart-phones-dumb.html I tend to agree.
  7. The BB on my wife's Silverback also gave out within 500Km. Replaced it (with the same model number), did a few thousand so far, no problem. I had a GT a few years ago and its bb also went feet up within the first 1000Km. Others last forever. I think those ones were assembled on a friday.
  8. Ek glo nie 'n bietjie speling is 'n groot problem nie, hang seker af hoeveel hy beweeg? Myne lyk so: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2697/4464348277_63fb0c077e.jpg
  10. Hi! Wie weet waar in ZA kan ek pulley wheels koop vir my ou (2007) X7? Dankie!
  11. Oh, and I think somebody should inform James Randi of this, he might have fun with this one. On second thought, he is probably all over it already. hyper72010-05-05 11:46:51
  12. Haha! That was funny, well done guys!
  13. Have you tried OKO? I like oko, sealed lots of tires and went lots of KMs.
  14. Wrong. Cars may have the power' date=' speed, weight and capacity to mow down cyclists but actually they are at the end of the chain. First come pedestrians, then horses (and riders), then bicycles. Cars and other motorised vehicles come last. (Maybe we should go back to the days of having a person walking ahead of cars with red flags to ensure that they don't hurt the first users of roads and tracks. Most civilised countries, and civilised peoples, respect the weaker users of the road (who also happen to be largely taxpayers). Car users without respect? Well, they don't deserve respect.[/quote'] +100. Game set and match. Mushilele for President.
  15. Summer (Rainy) months, 15W30 or whatever is cheapest. Winter (dusty conditions) Squirt. Clean chain every 100Km or so. Works for me.
  16. I am also a happy OKO user (mainly because it is easy to find here where LBS is few and far between) Usually I can get it to seal, I recently had a problem with an old crossmark (non UST) but I just "paint" some liquid latex on the bead, instant seal. (This is with ghetto conversions.)
Uitstekend, dankie!
  18. Oh my God!! They are not wearing helmets!! Please, think of the children!
  19. I loved that too! Wish I could have gotten a photo, it was a classic! (Sakkie appels on a bike rack. lol)
  20. How can it be private property when here is a squatter camp right down the road? Stop for random shouting people (even if they are in some kind of uniform) at your own peril.
  21. With a full susser, the distance between your saddle and the BB stays constant. With a suspension seatpost it definitely changes all the time. As somebody with knee problems, I can imagine that this is NOT a good thing.
  22. I learned that it is apparently very uncool to wear your helmet in a coffee shop. (not that I usually frequent coffee shops, or wear my helmet when I ride my bike to the shops. But the situation might arise.)
  23. Anybody want to join the SA Mountainbiker group on dailymile? http://www.dailymile.com/groups/145-south-african-mountainbikers
