  1. I have just been through the same thing, (T11 and T12) only the cause was from a mtb. I am going to the morningside sports (Exercise solutions) clinic and doing rehab with sport physiologists, movements specialists and and ortho. Recovery is going well and should be riding by next year. hopefully. my 2 cents worth
  2. I have to say the same....had nothing but good service from the man...My Egg Beaters were giving me admin in the beginning of the year and Shamus had them sorted within the hour. He met me at a shop and fixed whilst i waited
  3. The bike that you choose all depends on the way that you wanna ride it. The 60 d has a higher spec than what the Tfs 100 has. It actually has a very similar spec to that of the TFS 500 D. However, the frame moulding and manufacturing proccesses / frame geometries between the two bikes are radically different. The 60 d is aimed at a more relaxed geometry, and although it will handle most of the abuse that you throw at it, it wasnt designed to be riden by a race snake. On the other hand the TFS is more race ready. The 100 model isnt speced with a complete race ready group, but the technoform tubing used on the frame will with stand more abuse, be more responsive and last you longer. The head tube angels are a little steeper and will be more twitchy on the front end. In the long run, if you are looking to upgrade, the TFS is a far better option, as you go along upgrade it with better parts each time. If not, stick to the Matts 60 D. (The taper D isnt available in our country, it would have to be the matts 40 D / 60 D, or then the TFS range)
  4. is the tyre a ust, folding or normal? One normally finds that the casing in the tyres other than ust are too thin and dont hold pressure.
  5. Dude it fine to ride that wheel. You may however want to go into your local bike shop and ask them if you could borrow a tool called a "Mavic Stone" Use this stone one the rim section and sections around it and it will smooth braking and possible stop the squeek that is generated by the uneven braking surface. Peace
  6. Just be carefull of the dt rims, although they are one of the best rides, they do not make a ust one, and with a conversion kit, tyres are a mission to install, and some dont even fit. Chris King hubs, dt double butted spokes, mavic tubeless rim. If not chris king, i would go dt 240 hubs. Lowest maintenance wheel / hub combo on the market. XTR wheels, although they are super light, the rims are made of scandium..which basically means that they are super stiff for a limited time frame only. The hubs are also old school bearing, has its pros and cons. Crossmax....Mmmm 85 kg. Isnt that bang on the recommended weight limit??
  7. White lightening is going to be a little scare for a while to come. The factory has burnt down. Im using the Rock 'n roll lube. I started on the road (red) one and was impressed. It has a alcohol property in it aswell so cleans and lubes the chain at the same time. The also have a Mtb specific to dry and dusty conditions (Extreme) and a Mtb specific for wetter conditions (gold). Personally i am using the gold on the mtb and extreme on the road, just incase i get caught in the rain...it lasts longer.
