I started a few groups down from were I was seeded, yesterday my results were correct now they have me about 10 minutes slower and say that I started in the VA group (where I was meant to start). I have sent them an email to ask them to correct it.

Anyone else had this problem? Hope it is sorted out by the time the official results are published, otherwise my reputation will be ruined!

Why don't you just start in the group you were suppose to start in? Just asking, not flaming... :)

Some people move down to ride with people they know in a lower group.

I have the same problem was supposed to start in H started with my friend in J, time was right yesterday now I see I'm 3 minutes slower today.

Told everyone I did a 3:13 imagine the embarrassment when they see I did a 3:16.

Oh. But if your friend rides in a lower group, he is then slower than you? So don't you then go slower with your friend in his group than what you would in the faster group?

I don't get it: You are worried about your time on the one hand but when you chose to start in a slower group it did not matter...

Not always. If they don't have that many seeding races then they will not get a good seeding even if they are super fast. And the one is a licensed croup and the other not. There are pretty fast people in the non licensed groups.

My wife recently had our second kid, my training went to pot and I just couldnt put the training time in to race in VA (where the pace is simply insane at times. I didnt feel like getting put through the wringer and get dropped early on and probably as a result post a slower time so I dropped to B where the pace is more managable.

You presume to much my friend is actually better than me he had some technical problems on the seeding rides thats why he is lower than me. Yes moving down does effect your time but one group doesnt make that much of a difference.

At the end of the day racetec has it wrong. They say you can move down groups so they must give the time from that group.

Had the same problem a year ago. Foe Fighter - you must phone (not email) Racetec, explain it to them (be nice but firm), and follow up with them. There is a good chance that they will fix it. (my time was off by 17min, was late for my start group, and non of my friends believed me. . .)

yep, had a similar problem at Carnival. racetec timing was 10 minutes slower that my spedometer.

Carnival was championchip timing, R4S was racetec.

I also experience this. I told people I did 5:29, which I did and which is what was reported yesterday, but now it says 5:32. With an average of 19.87km/hr vs 20.something km/hr...

Not a train smash but I'm sure guys who started 5-10 groups later are not happy.
