I've never really understood why people are willing to pay (in many cases more) for something slathered with someone else's branding and promotional visuals. The original sponsors should be paying you, not the other way around...

(The kit I ride with is branded with my company's logo and several of our homegrown product logos, but I guess I'm just a minority).

+1. I do not own anything with Nike swooshes on for that reason. But 3 billion other suckers can't be wrong.

I agree. Branding is one of the best con-jobs in the business. T-Shirts with Billabong big on the front are more expensive than good t-shirts without a brand. Cycling kit that looks sponsored is another example.

Just plain silly...

It looks quite understated to me.

Not slathered in branding or sponsor's logos.

@Gummibear: Is it more expensive than any other Trek 6.9SSL ?

What is that for?

Its their integrated speed sensor - you just add the magnet to the wheel.

There is also a cadence sensor on the outside on the chain stay.

From Trek Website:

DuoTrap seamlessly integrates the computer sensor into the frame to measure speed, distance, and cadence with no added aerodynamic drag. It works with all the major ANT+ wireless technology players, including Bontrager, Garmin, Powertap, and SRM.
