HUH??? confused now...

I have a SA Passport and an Italian Passport. So why on earth do I need this letter anyway? I am immigrating in July and have not heard about needing a letter from the High Commission? Sorry for the ignorance, but the last thing I need is hassels getting out. Your advice would really be appreciated.

Have friend with Italian and SA passports. She leaves here with the SA passport, and enters EU with the Italian. AFAIK she never needed a letter, and they go skiing in Italy every year

I have an SA and Irish passport and haven't had any problems travelling with both. I leave SA and arrive back with the SA one and arrive at my destination, and leave, on the Irish.... assuming it's an EU country. I haven't had any letter

AH ****!!!

How do I find out about this letter?

I am flying back to SA on Friday and have 2 passports as well!

Dont really feel like fighting with customs regarding passports or paying a 20k fine
